Distribution report by link (with partials)

Hi,I have distributed a survey using a handful of links. Each link was created so we can later determine the source of the response (post A, blog B, newsletter C, etc.). None of the links were sent via Qualtrics. Note that I created each link type by manually appending different suffixes based on the source where the survey link would be posted.Now, I'd like to know how I can view distribution summary by link/source. When I look at the distribution currently, it shows all sources as "anonymous link." Is there a way to easily show completes, dropouts, etc. by link/source? The only way I am able to do this now is by exporting the data and manually sorting it. ALSO - is it possible to have partial responses included in the distribution, rather than just completes?Thank you.

Using Click Count for quality checking

I have a survey where it's important for (panel) respondents to read something (its a proposition they need to express opinions on).I have set up the question as Text with a timer of 20 seconds. The countdown is visible at the top of the text and respondents are told that it's important for them to read the text and that the 'Next' button won't appear until the 20 seconds are up. The text itself is only a couple of sentences.I have been reviewing the number of clicks on this page and the average, median and mode are all 5, meaning that the average respondent clicked the page 5 times even though there's a countdown and the Next button is not visible!15% of my sample have clicked 10 or more times!My question is:Has anyone used the Click Count as a way of checking quality and engagement?Any thoughts on the more general issue of engagement?(My survey takes about 7-8 minutes and is not 'boring')

How to create different CSS to multiple blocks?

So I created a survey, it’s a combination of 3 types of questions and total 8 blocks. The main type of questions and the end result is shown as below, which are contained 3 text inputs and 1 None option regarding one image or audio. The other two types are multiple choice or selective choice. The CSS I used below, works for some of the questions but not all of them, sometimes messing up with other types of questions as well.  ************************************************************.Skin .MC label.q-checkbox {    display: none}.Skin .MC label[for$="~4"] {    display: block}.Skin .MC label[for^="QR~QID3~"] {    display: block}.Skin .MC label[for="QR~QID470~8"] {    display: block}**********************************************************************Is there anyone know how to create CSS for different blocks? Scoring under Survey Options is greyed out

Hi!I want to add scores to my blocks of questions, but when I start in Survey tab, then choose Survey options (with the block highlighted/ticked), the Scoring menu is greyed out. I can't figure out how to make it work and can't find any information on it. In some of the online tutorials I've seen, there's a gear icon to the right of the questions in the block, but there's none in my blocks. (They are matrix, Likert scales, btw). Can anyone give me a hint?

Evenly assigning participants within a group to two study conditions

Hi, I'm new to Qualtrics, so I hope I can get some help on this for a future study.Essentially - I have two study groups (groups A and B). These people will have completed a prior survey that will classify them as belonging to groups A or B. In a follow-up survey, they will be randomly assigned to condition 1 or condition 2. I'm aware of how to ensure they are equally assigned between each group, but what would I need to do to make sure they are equally randomized within each group? For example, I have 100 participants with a 50/50 split for groups A and B. I evenly randomly assign the 100 to condition 1 or condition 2. Now, I would want to make sure that the 50 from group A (same for group B) are also equally assigned to conditions 1 or 2, so we don't end up with, say, 45 from group A were assigned to condition 1 and only 5 for condition 2. I hope this makes sense. Thanks.

How to make options within a question "disappear"

My respondents are registering for an event -- and I want "old" dates to disappear as the days click by. However, display logic doesn't apply to choices within a multiple choice question ... so I'm at a loss.

Matching end of survey messages with specific selections within a multiple choice question

I created a registration form, and want to link include ADD EVENT TO YOUR CALENDAR via Google. There are 15 dates from which respondents can choose, but when I cannot successfully "connect" a date choice with the specific end-of-survey message I've prepared.Is that because the question is within a block so branching just doesn't work? I created a branch (as a test) choosing one of the dates and then created a customized end of survey message. In Survey Flow it seems right (if XX is selected, then user sees XX end of survey message) but it just doesn't work.

Same IP address

Hi! Some of my respondents have the same IP address, though they mention that they are from different organizations (i.e., different locations). Does that mean that this is one respondent filling out the survey multiple times?

Pipe answers across 2 surveys

Hello,Here is what I am trying to do: I have two surveys:Survey 1: 10 questions including a question about income (what is your annual income?). This survey will be distributed using a personalized link.Survey 2: is a follow-up survey of 10 questions. As I can track answers through the personalized link, I want to pipe in some answers from survey 1 (such as annual income) into survey 2. Is this possible in Qualtrics?Thank you

Loop number display

Hello,I am new to this platform, and creating a survey with loop and merge. Users can select up to 5 choices for first question and I am looing based on number of choices selected. Is there a way to display a loop counter like "Loop 1 of 5" or "Loop 2 of 3" and so on, on top of each page? ThanksJoseph

How best to set up survey for many questions on same page, revealed 1 at a time, jumping to newest?

Hi there,I'm hoping someone with more experience and a better understanding of how Qualtrics works under the hood can help me. I'm a researcher trying to implement one of our paper questionnaires in Qualtrics. One section is for calculating the number of hours of speech in different languages spoken to a child throughout their life. On the questionnaire, we basically have a grid that represents a different situation in the child's life (say, "at home with both parents") and then we mark the hours per weekday and weekend day in each of up to 4 languages, like so:In Qualtrics, I'm setting a maximum of 10 situations, and what I'm hoping to achieve is for Situation 1 to be always shown, and then have a question asking "Add another situation?" and if yes, then Situation 2 is revealed on the same page as Situation 1, so that Situation 1 could be edited if needed. I would also like the page, when loaded the second time, to scroll down to the Situation 2 question, instead of remaining at the

Dropout / Abandon table

Hi all,Recent convert from Decipher (Forsta) here. In Decipher, we had a way to easily view how many dropouts/abandons occurred at each question in the survey (see image). Furthermore, it showed us the average amount of time spent at each question. This was a ready-made chart that updated in real time. I have searched high and low for something similar in Qualtrics and have come up empty handed. Is there an easy way to see this data (without exporting everything and manually calculating attrition at each question)?Thank you!

Expired Invitation - how to allow a participant to reengage in a survey once its expired?

A participant partially completed (67%) a survey and now it's recorded the responses after the link has expired. The participant has agreed to complete the survey, how do we go about resending the link with the partially responses and allowing them to complete it.We extended the expiration of the link to 3 months; will this allow participant to complete survey? If not, what are the steps we need to take because we do not want the participant to start all over?

Collaborating with Others but with Limits allowing them to add notes per question with no edits

I want to collaborate with others in my organization so they can review the survey questions and add notes to individual questions but I want to limit their ability to make any edits to the actual question at all, disable changing the wording, deleting questions, or messing with survey flow. I just want feedback to be allowed without allowing direct changes at all to the survey...Just navigate through the survey, review, and add comments within the Qualtrics platform and I can't seem to allow people only those permissions when collaborating - it is either all or nothing. So is this possible to limit collaboration to reviewing and adding comments or not? Seems pretty basic and straightforward.please let me know of any hacks

Math operation / inequalities using a randomly generated number.

Hi, here is an example of what I am trying to do. Each participant chose a number between 1-100, then the computer picks a randomly chosen number between 0-100, if their choice is greater than the randomly chosen number, they get 0. If their choice is less than the randomly chosen number, they get the randomly chosen number.Note that not all participants get this question as this block is part of a randomizer in the survey flow. Data Center Location EU?

Survey preview link not getting display in base language English (EN)

Survey preview link where base language is English (EN) and translations done in Germany and Italy. However, whenever client opens this preview link, the survey displays in the German language. It happens only for client. Others are able to see in English.We tried clearing the cookis/cache. Opening URL in privaye window. Its not working.Also tried hardcoding Q_Language=EN in url. Still doesnt work.Has anybody come across this issue and any reasons for this?

Sharing dashboard / reports with group of users

Hi,We are working on how to share dashboard / reports with group of users (About 500-2000), here are few options we identified:Provide Qualtrics dashboard access: Even if we use vocalize user, we are under impression that it needs Qualtrics license which may not be financial feasibleImport Qualtrics dashboard to Qlik / BI tool and give access to users. We can leverage existing licenses of BI tool. Some development is needed, but may loose functionality of core Qualtrics widgets. On positive side, we shall be able to merge report from multiple sources.Export dashboard to PDF and share via mail. Looking at how we can automate creation and circulation of dashboard.Looking forward to understand how other users are managing it.

MATRIX TABLE WITH ALTERNATING BACKGROUND COLORS

Input as many answers as possible in given time

Hi!hope you all are doing well.I am working on psychology research aimed at measuring effects of gamification on performance and motivation.I have a question regarding creation of my experimental design. I am trying to measure performance using picture annotation exercise. Basically, for 1 minute a picture is displayed and participant should input as many one word answers as they can. Therefore they write a word, press enter, the word is saved, then they write another word, press enter, word. Every input string (word) gets recorder as well as time passed between different inputs. Adding external links or images to survey questions

Hi, I've been asked by a client to add a link to survey question, which would provide the participant the option to view a error message on website relating to the question.The question sits within a set of multiple choice responses.Is it possible to include a external link within the question, which would open in a new tab. So the participant can tab back to the survey?orIs it possible to include a screenshot attached to the question?It would be ideal to keep this question grouped with the others and not be in a separate question block.
