Loop and Merge, include a ID for a data item and export it?

Hi, I am using loop and merge for a section. This has 2 columns and 1 is a data row and other one is an identifier for each data row. I am piping the text from column1 for survey to show to anyone taking it and then the other row is hidden (I've set a logic to be false to hide it from anyone taking it). Is there a way to export the survey responses with the values of column2? If my method doesn't work, how do I go about making sure the export contains data item (column1 and column2), but column2 would be not visible to anyone taking the survey? Thank you

"Public" Library for Surveys

Today in Qualtrics, when a Survey is saved to a library, that library (and survey) is only available to that user. How can we build a library that can be accessed by everyone? The objective is to get teams to create copies of surveys available in the library than create new.Please advise.Thank you.

How to export the data with "meaningful text" instead of the QID code?

Hi there,In my survey I have a lot of questions that carry forward previously entered text. So for example if the question is "What is your favorite color?" and the respondent enters "Red", there will be a number of questions afterwards that will fill in that answer and ask "What are your favorite red things?" and "What do you like about red?", with the questions being variable depending on the respondent's answer to the first "what is your favorite color?". When I'm in the survey and viewing it from the respondent's perspective, everything is okay. My issue comes in when I export the responses to a .csv, and instead of the column header saying "What are your favorite red things?" it will use the QID code and say something like "What are your favorite [QID217-ChoiceTextEntryValue-83] [QID1407-ChoiceTextEntryValue-x83] things?" I want to know if there is a way I can export it where the respondent's entered answer will be displayed in the carried-forward questions in place of the QID cod

Block is not triggering as "complete" in the table of contents

Hi, in my survey, "Part 3: Practice a New Skill" never triggers as complete in the table of contents. This problem started when we introduced a branching path with display logic, so is Qualtrics registering it as "incomplete" because the other option never ends up getting displayed?One option for the branching path makes it display 97%, but I choose the other then its 83%.Another weird thing that happens is if I click one of the branching path options, then click back on "Part 3" in the table of contents to go back to that section, it goes to the Table of Contents page that is not supposed to be shown.Let me know if you have any ideas on a fix.

How to collect information about multiple employees in one survey

Hi everyone,I am trying to develop a survey to collect information about employee revenue, to be used in a Dashboard. I am having trouble collecting information about multiple employees in one survey.For example, say I have 5 employees and I want the reported fields to be 'employee', 'type', 'revenue generated' and 'anticipated revenue'. If I repeat the questions for each employee, I end up with 5 different employee fields in results, not one.I know I could just take the survey 5 different times, or I could create a new 'super' field through bucketing with all the different employee fields, but I was wondering if there was an easier alternative.

Video is failing to upload in some browsers

Filters & layouts - workaround for how Qualtrics orders them?

Hi everyone.I use multiple layouts in the Data & Analysis tab and large numbers of filters when I'm analyzing my data in Qualtrics.I'm frustrated because it seems as if Qualtrics orders layouts and filters in the order in which they are created, and I can't figure out a way to rearrange them. It doesn't look like Qualtrics alphabetizes them.Has anyone found a good workaround for this? If you use a lot of filters are you figuring out what you want all of them to be before adding them so that you can add them in an order that makes sense?I'd love to get suggestions.Jennie

How to unsubscribe multiple emails for same person after survey completed from one of their emails

Hi all, I am new to Qualtrics and I appreciate any help you can offer. I am trying to send an email to recipients who have multiple emails. My contact list has one row for each email a person has. If a recipient has answered the survey from one of their emails, how do you unsubscribe them from the other emails? We want to prevent them from receiving reminder emails to the other emails the did not respond from. Is this possible? Thank you in advance for your help.

Cannot access details about email distribution

Hello,I sent an email to a contact list by navigating the drop-down and going to "contacts."I then found my contact list and clicked "Send email to list."I composed my email and clicked send. However, I don't see any details about the email that was sent (how many emails bounced, etc.). I also didn't have the option to send a test email while I was composing my draft. Typically, when I send emails from within a given survey I have these other details about the bounce rate and can send test emails. Is this functionality simply not available if you send emails from within the "Contact" tab? Is there a way to see how many of the 70 emails I sent were successful?Thanks so much for your help.Bradley

How can I apply color to a conditional text on my report?

With the recent deprecation of the legacy report, we are still stuck at the phase where we are "trying" to replicate our reports through the subject report option. We have this certain color scheme for our reports and we are unable to change text color on conditional text. I am thinking whether we can use a certain html code, but I am unable to find the correct solution. Appreciate if you can share your ideas. Thanks

Analysing ranking questions

Hey thereI wondered if I could get some information on industry practice with analysing ranking questions. I have a survey where we have asked respondents to select all attributes which apply to them, then the next question asks them to rank them in importance (based on the ones they selected previously). Do you ever weight the ranking responses by the response rate for that attribute in the previous question?

Issue with exporting Survey Data into Excel and SPSS

Dear all,unfortunately I have an Issue regarding my data when I export it into SPSS or Excel.I always used 1-7 Scales but the Data is displayed with numeric codes reaching from 8-14. Also in the Variable View in SPSS the Values are correct but the Data appears in this wrong format.Any ideas how to solve that? Thank you,Nicolas

Anonymization of open questions

Hi together,we have an open-ended question in our survey and would like to cleanse the responses of personal data. This means that if someone enters the name of an employee, this should be anonymized in the raw data. I have already done some research and there is this function in Qualtrics, I guess you can then upload a list of names. Help with auto-select and auto-forward

Hi there! Hoping to get some help with auto-selecting from a multiple choice question and then auto-clicking next. I've been trying to slice together snippets of javascript from different posts but nothing has worked. As background, we're hoping to assign respondents random 3-digit IDs that they don't see (i.e. something much shorter than the Qualtrics IDs). That part has been working well -- we have a multiple choice question that has 999 number answers, and using the randomized questions logic, it randomly displays only one out of the 999 (and is set to display evenly so that it won't use the same number again until every number has been used once). So, for example, every time someone takes the survey, that question pops up as 742, or 101, or 333, with only one option. Hiding the question has also worked fine. All we need is for it to just select that one answer and move on. Which seems like it should be simple, but the JS snippets I've found online haven't worked. Any thoughts on th

Selecting questions for straight line quality check

The straightlining tool detects respondents who have straightlined several matrix questions in the questionnaire. However, it's a bit of a blunt instrument in that it evaluates all matrix questions, even those where straightlining would be a valid response.My question is 'Is it possible to select which matrix questions are used in the straightlining evaluation?'

Is there a way to align the question towards the left?:In the Flat and Classic layout it's aligned but the questions are not as organized as in the Modern one.

Adding pages before ending survey

Good day! On the first page of my survey is the consent form. If they decline consent, I would like them to go to a demographics page before ending the survey. I tried to include the demographic block in the flow between the consent block and the end of the survey with no success (goes to thank you message once you hit select not to consent). Any help??

Survey function Idea: Allow downloads of uploaded files from reports by non-contributors

Current Problem: If a person is not a contributor on the survey, they are unable to download files uploaded into the survey. So when I make a report and share it with non-contributors, they can see the links to files but when they try to click on the file link, they are unable to download. Thus, we must provide these files separately, which is less-than-ideal for many reasons. We cannot make these folks collaborators on the survey because they should not have access to the entire dataset collected in the survey.Current Solution (if applicable): Currently there isn't really a solution. I can create a live report with a filter appropriate for certain audiences. This report can automate the process of showing the most up-to-date results of all survey questions related to them (due to the filter) except that I must separately download all the items submitted via the file upload question and send those to the people separately. This takes extra effort and time and limits our ability to us

Adding Hyperlinks to help users navigate with various sections in survey

Hello,Is it possible to add Hyperlinks to help users navigate with various sections in survey? For example, linking specific words that are presented in other blocks or pages to direct users’ attention to where those words are in the text. Clicking any back button may not be user friendly, because the user would in some cases need to click it many times to navigate back to a page. So, what do you recommend?Many thanks in advance.

Trying to figure how to use other survey data into a new survey

Here it goes - I have a survey for people to register for a session. I check that data frequently and make sure that there are no duplicates etc. They also select which session to go. Now The first session has occurred and I want to send out a survey asking for their feedback. So on a new survey, I said. Thank you for coming to the [title] session, on [date]. we would like to hear your feedback etc......I created a directory with a new group who attended the session with some extra information (like course name and date). I want to pull that from that contact list. Because I have 20 sessions to go and I will add more attendees to the list.How do I go with that? I would like it to be more personalized - specific title and date.Any tips would be appreciated.Thank you!

Redirection from REDCap to Qualtrics

We had a group who just advertised the surveys (printed out and everything). The survey will begin this December before they realized that we were going to shut down REDCap at the end of the year. I am seeing if we can redirect the URL that we have from REDCap to the new survey on Qualtrics? They are rebuilding the surveys on Qualtrics.Let me know if this is possible.

Survey Invite Lay-out

Hi everyone, Hope someone can help me with the survey invite lay-out. The mailer function in Qualtrics isn't very comprehensive, but I want my invite to look professional. Think the survey invite is an important part of your survey success, you don't want your email to look as spam.
