Qualtrics Platform

I have a constant sum table where the last option is an “Other” option with an other text option. How can I hide this when then input value for the “other” option is 0 or empty, and also force a response when other is greater than 0? Is this even possible?  I can manage to hide it by default when opening the page with getElementById, but I’ve no idea how to then show it once a value for other is provided and also hide it again if the other value is removed. Thanks!

I’m trying to use the Data Formula Task to create a new metric, Years of Service. The task/workflow would run after a survey response is submitted and would calculate a person’s “Years of Service” via the different between the current date/time and the hire date they enter as a text field in the survey (MM/DD/YYYY). It’s not working. What am I doing wrong? Screenshot below.

Hi,I have created a survey that was available to anyone, but respondents(students) were sent an email. On landing on the platform they are required to input their student ID to log on to the system. Which has worked perfectly. The response rate is not as high as we hoped, and the QR code had now been published and being used. However those student who have answered the survey via the QR are still being sent an email reminder to complete the survey. Is there a way to stop this from happening? Thanks 

Hello, I created ticket tasks a while back and all was functioning as it should. At some point, someone changed one of the names in the dataset from “Consultant” to “Relocation Consultant”. I was able to get that fixed and all of the ticket tasks are populating that field correctly from the point of correction but not prior to.Also, I am now missing data in other fields such as Last name and first name. The data is still appearing in the customer profile but is not displaying first and last names as columns in my ticket dashboard.I have gaps in my data that I need to fix and I am not able to figure out how to do this. Any help would be greatly appreciated. 

Hello,I am trying to build a dashboard page to track the performance of my survey.I want to show total responses per question so we can easily track drop off. I can see there is a “count” field for each question, but I cant figure out how to only display the number of responses per question in a widget.Not sure if its filters or something else?

I used the following JS code to add heading to the statements column in a matrix table question since there is no native function. However, I will be translating the survey into multiple language. Is there any way using the Q_lang variable to show the heading according to the language selected? jQuery("#"+this.questionId+" td.c1:first").html("Label Text");  

I am showing response summary at end of survey. In this response summary I want to hide one question always, can someone check if this can be done and how?

Hello! I am trying to find a way to analyze my coded data (textIQ) by gender.I used Qualtrics for my doctoral research and I want to know if Qualtrics has a way to allow me to use the statistics features with my added codes. I have 4 open-response items, which I successfully coded them using the textIQ feature. Using the statsIQ feature nearly reaches my goal; I have a beautiful description of code frequency. For example it shows that 25% mentioned motivation, 19% mentioned competency, and so on. My goal is to disaggregate these codes by gender, but I do not see a way that I can create a stats chart that does codes by gender. With my other survey items that used a likert scale (agree, disagree, etc) I can use crosstabs IQ very easily to create a table that shows frequency of responses by gender. When I try to do the same with codes, (gender v. each code) The table shows up with the correct labels but the data simply says “not supported” Can you help me to find a way to get a table? I a

we run about 21 different courses on Brightspace. I’d like to set up one survey that will offer up different blocks of questions depending upon which course they’ve just completed.we either embed the Qualtrics at the end of the course or could automate a link to be sent.whilst we could of course ask what course they’ve just done, I am wondering if the distribution link can be used as a proxy for that information.ie multiple distribtion links that go to the same survey, but the link itself sets some of the survey parameters?currently we have one survey for each course, which is a complete pain! difficult to know where to start- any pointers appredciated :)

Hello,I have a simple 2 language survey (EN / AR) and was wondering if it was possible to replace the language drop-down by a button?Such that if the respondent is answering the EN survey instead of showing "English" in the language drop-down it would directly state "عربي" and when the user clicks on it he is immediately redirected to the AR survey. Is this possible?Otherwise, would it be possible to show the other language as default in the drop-down? So, if the respondent is answering the EN survey the language drop-down would show "عربي" instead of English...Thanks a lot!Ila

Hi, I made a simple worlde game within Qualtrics. Question 1: When I preview the game part by click preview within the block, it looks as expected, but when I preview the whole survey, it lost all the interactions.Question 2: after the game, i created a button to proceed participants to finish the survey questions. this time it is the opposite: full preview looks fine but block preview does not work...

How do I restrict so that whole numbers only and not decimals are allowed?  I thought entering 0 in Max Decimals under validation would work, but apparently not. Also, in other form fields where I have custom validation I cannot ALSO add validation to require a whole number, or at least it doesn’t seem like I can.  Seems like I am limited to one set of validation logic?  We have logic to require a value greater than that answered in a prior question and there isn’t a way to add a content validation on top of that.

I want to show a survey to a certain segment of my audience where each member of that segment has a customer id number. I want to capture that customer id number (CID) so that I can personally respond to the clients who answer the survey in a certain way. Do I add the Embedded Data capture as a block in the survey flow? Or should I add it as part of the Action Set in the Intercept?

I recently added a new embedded data field to a survey in use. I checked my dataset to make sure I have this included. I added a column in my data and analysis tab for the “wellrive branch” as shown here but it does not seem to be pulling this into the results. How can I fix this? 

Has anyone connected Qualtrics and Canvas successfully? If so - how? What are you doing with it? Was your solution easy to set up or did it require a lot of support from IT?We are looking in to connecting Qualtrics and Canvas to be able to control access and pass name/email between the two applications. It's a pretty simple use case, overall, but we don't know how to connect them.Searching this forum, it seems all existing discussions are years old, homebrew code, or posted by the folks that created the branded Drieam integration (which possibly is fantastic but I can't find any discussion one way or another).Any information anyone can share would be really helpful. Hello, Sorry I am a noob and am in tears.I’d like the option to end the survey as soon as the volunteer selects an answer deeming them ineldigble to participant in the study (to avoid wasting their time further).I thought I followed the instructions but it’s not working - When I test, i get to that question and rather than ending the survey it continues to the next question :(Do I need to have all questions as an individual block???  What am I missing?Please help 🙏🙏 

Hi there, I am having a good amount of trouble trying to set up randomization without replacement on a survey. I have six conditions, and I need every participant to be in two, but to not go through the first one twice. I know this could be completed under one randomizer, but I need every participant to answer the same question block after completing the first condition, so they have to come out of the randomizer to complete that.I know that people have asked questions related to this in the past, and I have read those question threads and tried to implement the solutions, and although it looks like it is set up correctly, I am running into problems. Currently, it seems as though it is working, in that my test run-throughs have not been giving me the same condition twice. However, the embedded data columns are printing out empty in the exported data, and the flow IDs (which I require) are all messed up, leading me to believe something must be wrong. I need access to either the flow IDs

Is there any question to import that is a calendar that allows date selection for up to a certain number of days?I'd need people to be able to select up to but no more than 6 questions.I checked the import question from library option and then I searched for Calendar but those options didn't look like a calendar (see screenshot)This is for an EE project if that matters. Hi, Like the title suggests, we use Qualtrics to collect client demographics. Currently we have no way for clients to quickly sign in if they are a member. I’m trying to streamline their arrival by designing a “self sign-in” survey where they are prompted to add their membership code and then their demographics are automatically fill the rest of the survey questions. I’ve gotten as far as creating a contact list and using an authenticator in the survey flow but it is problematic when I try put the pipe text into the answer field. Right now it will only accept it into the question line. When I go through the survey as a test, the answer will be in the question line rather than the answer box. Help!
