I have a side by side question with 3 columns. For both column 1 and column 3, I want to set my minimum to 1 and maximum to 100. For column 2, I want my minimum to 1 and no maximum. How do I do this?  I appreciate any help!

I was trying to setup a branch if this question = empty but it is not an option.  So how do you create embedded data if they did not answer the question?  I have embedded data figured out if they answer the question.  

I am updating an existing survey to start passing embedded data from a url to automatically answer a pre-existing question. For example, if the url parameter is ?member=yes, then it would answer the yes/no question “Are you a member?” with a yes response. AND I would also like that if the url answers that question, it would not be displayed.  So far, I have my display logic set so that the “are you a member” question does not appear if the embedded data is present, but do not know how to automatically answer the question with that url parameter. Or, if I can’t automatically answer the question, how to combine the answers from the embedded data to the survey responses.

We are creating scoring in the Qualtrics Survey. There are three categories for students to respond to. There are five questions for each category.How do I  let students know their scoring results after they click submit?I am hoping to have the following message at the end of the survey:Thank you for your submission. Here's the scenario:In the survey, there are two multiple choice questions:Question 1 (Q1): Participants indicate their country of residence among three options: Spain, Germany, or Sweden.Question 2 (Q2): This question offers three choices: Black, Orange, and Yellow.Now, what I want to achieve is to dynamically change the default preselected option in Q2 based on the answer given in Q1. Here's the desired behavior:If a participant selects Spain in Q1, the default option in Q2 should be "Orange." If a participant selects Germany in Q1, the default option in Q2 should be "Yellow." I have an active survey and today there are suddenly people reporting a new issue. There’s a page where they watch a tv episode, and when the episode is over the Continue button appears so they can continue to the post-video questions (buttons shows when video is actually finished playing, or if they cheat and drag vimeo scrubber to end and wait for the full time to elapse). Today, the last two people to take the survey have not been shown the continue button and they’re stuck. One is on Chrome, one is on Safari, both are on Mac. A lot of my participants have been on Mac (including me) and this hasn’t happened before. on the responses in progress data, it shows the last question answered as the last question on the page before the tv episode. When the Safari person emailed me I was sure it was probably a browser extension conflict, but then in the data I saw another person stuck on the same question in Chrome, so an extension seems less probable? The video question has custom js for th

Hi all!!About 3 years ago there was a post about setting up a Star question instead of the bubbles. 1 year ago some Qualtrics gurus gave Java and CSS to override the multiple choice question set to be stars. It works great - if you want to do that check it out! BUT - We also put forced response questions in our survey. When you take the survey and fill in your star rating the stars turn yellow. If you skip a question that is required and Qualtrics makes you go back to retake the question - all your star ratings turn back to grey as if you did not select them. The data is still there. During testing, I did not go back and repopulate the stars and the data captured my first input. But this will not be a good customer experience. So if anyone has code (and an explanation for noob coders on where to put it) that can stop the stars from resetting their color - that would be AMAZING!! Thanks

Hello!I’m currently trying to manipulate the inputted date and time from a survey participants using flatpickr. For instance, if the user chose the following date and time (08/08/2024 9:00 PM) on flatpickr, I would like to subtract an hour from it and store it in an embedded value as (08/08/2024 8 PM). So far, I’ve created the necessary embedded data for the variables in the survey flow, and wrote the following Javascript: Using the written code, I’m able to display a calendar and time for the participants to choose: However, the manipulated date is not showing up in the next subsequent question; nothing shows up for ${e://Field/cigevent1} and ${e://Field/cigevent2} displayed in the next subsequent question. What I’m guessing is that something wrong happened in formatting the dates in the Javascript code, so its not correctly displaying as a piped text in the subsequent questions.I would very much appreciate it if someone could guide me on how to correctly store the date and time, and

Trying to compare entered date to embedded data date and make sure the entered date is after the embedded data date. This is being applied in a Loop and Merge block. Things are mostly working, but for some reason dates entered in 2025 are NOT being allowed, even if they should be passing the validation. Validation settings are as follows:Current loop, entered date, Matched Regex for mm/dd/yyyy: ^(0[1-9]|1[0-2])/(0[1-9]|[12]\d|3[01])/(19|20)\d{2}$ AND Current loop date entered “is greater than” embedded data date, defined at the beginning of the survey in survey flow as: ‘Plus14 = ${date://OtherDate/m%2Fd%2FY/+14%20day}’ Validation properly fails when dates are entered within 14 days of today, provided they are in 2024. Dates after 12/31/2024 also fail, but should be allowed to pass...

Ability to add or sum up the embedded data in numbers (e.g. 20+40=60) when you upload the file to Qualtrics directory.

Hi, We have an embedded data field in a survey called EVENT_DT which states the date an appt took place, but the format in the sample file is set to mm/dd/yyyy. We wish to pipe this ED field into a question text, but have the format displayed as dd/mm/yyyy. Is this possible in any way as an embedded data function, or if not, possible via Javascript?Thanks

Is it possible to use a Query String and piped text to add text to a survey distributed by anonymous link based on the query string?We have a programs registration form that will be linked to on about 30 different web pages. We know how to use query strings as embedded data to track which program folks are registering for.However, we would like the name of the program they are registering for to appear in the survey text, possibly in the intro block.For example, if the user clicks on https://www.awesomeprogram.fakedomain, we would like the text “Awesome Program” to appear on the survey.This would allow us to have a single registration form for all of these programs.We’re open to some code, if possible.Thanks.  

We are still fairly new to Qualtrics course eval and have a question about the reminder messages.  My setup shows no Subject or Message chosen (see screenshot), but when I select these and click Create, then go back into check, they have all reverted.  Does anyone else have this issue? If yes, is it normal? Or does it mean they are not sending?

Select all that apply.*Baseball*Basketball*Boxing*American Football*Hockey*MMA/ UFC*Soccer*Tennis*Other (with open text field) Question 2Who is your favorite team for [Loop and Merge]? I do not want the Loop and Merge to ask for Boxing, MMA, Tennis, or Other. So if baseball and Boxing are both selected, it will not matter what go to baseball. Or if someone says Hockey, MMA, and Soccer, it will only choose between hockey and soccer. How do I set it up? I wrote a JavaScript to randomly draw 2 numbers in a question with some constraints. The script works when I select the question box and click “Preview Question”, as shown belowbut it does not function properly when I click preview for the survey, as shown below Here is the code I wrote. Could anyone tell me why this issue occurs and provide some guidance? I tried to use this code because I know that it works ${e://Field/courseCode} ${e://Field/Catalog_Nbr} Sect. ${e://Field/Class_Section}: ${e://Field/courseName} in the subject line and it does not work and I needed to list what the course the email was about.  Additionally, it does not function in the message section, but it does in the survey.

For various reasons I would like to let my respondents select their language with a question instead of the language drop down selector. I found the code to do this over here: https://gist.github.com/marketinview/48187d5251ac0fedf555cbd0f2ac7c7a. It works perfectly when I add a list question. However, I would like to know how I can change this code so that it works with a dropdown question? I’ve tried a couple of things myself but I’m unable to hide the langCodes if I change the question from a list to a dropdown.

I’m looking for a way to force a response to the top-level question in a drill down, without forcing a response to other levels in the drill down. Any suggestions?

We are going send out our course evaluations on Monday.  We have another survey we would like to send out about week later using the course evaluation setup.  So the surveys will overlap will that cause any problems?  I have email out for support but I need answers NOW.  Dates of the survey cannot change.

I'm experiencing a strange issue with my survey flow in Qualtrics. Here's the situation:When a respondent selects "No" on the “consent question” for the first time, they are correctly redirected to a “confirmation question” where they are asked “are you sure”, and if they click “Yes” the survey ends, and by pressing “No” they are sent back to the “consent question” again. Then if they then go back to the “consent question”, select "No," again they and are redirected to the confirmation page again, everything works as intended so far. The problem arises when they return to the “consent question” the second time around and click "No" again. Instead of being redirected back to the “confirmation page”  (as it should), they are immediately taken to the next question, bypassing the “consent question” where they should confirm they’ve read the information and wish to participate.I want to ensure that respondents cannot access the rest of the study without pressing yes on the “consent question
