I  see that it is possible to share Stand-alone workflows with individuals, but is it possible to share them with a Qualtrics group? I am interested in this because sharing with a Qualtrics group vs. sharing with individuals would save me a bit of time. I’m thinking it is not possible, but I thought I’d check.

Background:I have a survey with multiple open text questions. Example,Tell us how we can make X betterTell us how we can make Y betterTell us how we can make Z better I want to have one word cloud widget that shows combined results from X, Y, and Z (all of the open text question responses.) I only see an option to choose one question’s responses. Is there a way in the data setup where I can make one field that combines all of the open text from the questions responses?

Is it possible to attach a PDF file in a question - so respondents can download the file? For example, on the Introduction page of the survey set up as a text question, I want to add a file that respondents can click on and download - how do you post the file in the question?

HiI’m trying to build a widget where I could see for each month, what is the NPS of the last 12 months. Meaning, on the column or bar Jan 2024 I would see the NPS from Feb 1st 2023 to Jan 31st 2024, on the one of Feb 2024 I would see NPS from March 1st 2023 to Feb 29th 2024… I saw that for Rolling calculation “grouping must match the grouping for your date breakout. For example, if your date data is broken out over years, the rolling average will also automatically be set to years.” Does anyone have an idea on how to achieve this?

I am currently doing a survey for my Master’s Thesis and I am in a bit of a predicament. I have 7 blocks. And I want to randomly select 4 of them to each participant. But from those 4 I want to have 2 that will always appear for each participant, regarding of order. That is, they can appear at 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th. But I don’t know if this is possible to do. What I have for now is a first randomization of those 2 to appear in first or second, and a second randomization of the other 5 (only 2 will be selected as well). But this is not ideal. Can someone help me? Is it possible to do ? I already tried many times without success and tried to search for this but, strangely, I did not find anything.

Hello,We've been using a formula at the end of each Qualtrics survey and in the workflow to add up all the budget items in the application. The formula consists of the question response code + question response code (repeated) for each item in the the table. I put a screenshot of the formula below. Formula we are currently usingThis formula is present at the end of the survey and in the workflow email. The issue is that the email receipt sent from the workflow to the applicant sends the formula and not the total. Interestingly enough, the formula works in preview mode of the survey, but it doesn't work in the email. Below is a screenshot of how it looks in preview mode. Successful output in preview mode Would anyone happen to know how to fix this? I don’t understand why the formula works in the survey but not in the workflow. Thank you!

Hi I have a question for the side by side question - Is it possible to have one column of responses mutually exclusive, where if that column is selected, no other data can be entered in other rows? In the example, I would like to make the rightmost column (Not Applicable) mutually exclusive, where if Not Applicable selected in one row, then the free text entry rows do not apply and no values are collected. Is there a validation check?   

Hi all, I’m building a survey that contains about 300 questions. I have all questions already in an excel sheet and it seems like a tedious task to write them all out in Qualtrics. Is there a way to import the excel into Qualtrics to save a bit of time? Also, the questions are to be answered on a scale of 1-7. How can I make sure that each question appears together with the scale if it’s possible to import them from excel? Huge thanks to all responders in advance!

Hi,I will do my best to explain my current situation, but please let me know if I need to clarify anything.I am looking to randomise my question blocks (as each block contains all of the parts of a single trial), but I am in need of a way that participants can see what trial they are on, without using a progress bar. However (and more importantly), the trial numbers should not be randomised, and always go from Trial 1 - 10 (for example) regardless of the order the randomiser places the questions. So for example, if I were to simply manually label each primary segment of the question block = Trial 1 of 10 (and so on), the randomiser will result in this messing up the order: Trial 1 of 10 --> Trial 6 of 10 --> Trial 10 of 10 --> Trial 3 of 10 and so on, until all 10 trials have been shown. I need a way (whether this be embedded data or JS) that I can ensure that despite the question blocks are randomised, it will always start at Trial 1 of 10 and continue until Trial 10 of 10.Essentially

We have the Google Maps Autocomplete enabled in our account. However, it does not appear to be pulling zip codes as part of the request. As we will be using this to validate shipping addresses, the zip code is critical to our use. See the image below. I’ve verified the output in Data & Analysis and it is not there either. I was hoping it would be, even if it’s not displaying on screen. Is there something different I need to do to make sure this information is captured? Hi XM Community, My collaborator and I have found a way to use Loop & Merge to implement an attention-based work task from psychology within a Qualtrics survey. In short, we have a 5 blocks, where each block contains a set of 300 images that are presented in a random order to the participant using Loop & Merge. It seems to work well in most ways EXCEPT that it seems to be the case that the lag on the survey gets longer and longer as the survey progresses. Has anyone else had issues with this? We assume it’s some issue where Loop & Merge caches some data and thus lags more, but that truly is just a guess  -- does anyone who understands how Loop & Merge works in the backend have a hunch on what might be happening and how this might be fixed? Thank you!

Hello!I’m starting a 2nd round of interviews for an Analyst to join my team. Both candidates say they have experience building dashboards and turning data into stories. In the past, I’d have candidates share a prior project/study they’ve worked on and present it to me so I can see how they represented and displayed the data, how they spoke about it, how they answered my questions, etc. Our hiring process has changed so I’m only able to ask questions and I’m not able to do any sort of assessment or ask to see their work. I welcome any and all suggestions on how I can really drill into their experience in a conversation without seeing examples. Thank you! Carrie

Hello! I’m trying to embed an external website into qualtrics survey using iframe. I tested the external website using iframetester.com , and it works fine there.However, when I embedded the website in my survey using html, it shows error. I also tested using “https://www.wikipedia.org/” but it also shows error… so I think it’s not the issue with external website, but more of the issue on my qualtrics survey/account? My code is as follows: <iframe src=”EXTERNAL WEBSITE LINK“ width=”90%” height=”500”></iframe>Does anyone have any idea? Looking for some custom code (Java, CSS, or HTML) that would make grid questions (matrix) display in accordion style on a desktop similar to how it does on mobile -- where one attribute shows at a time and collapses once an answer is selected, causing the next attribute to open. I have scoured the board and the internet and have yet to find a solution. Anyone have any ideas?

I set up my survey in Qualtrics as I normally do - no tricks I haven’t used before. I previewed it using the ‘preview’ button several times - no problems there. However, the survey link (copied from ‘anonymous link’ under the Distributions tab) leads to a broken survey - it skips crucial blocks from the middle of the survey. How is this possible, and has anyone else experienced this? It’s not my computer - I discovered the problem after I launched the survey on Prolific, only to find that participants were facing this glitch and not being shown the full survey.  I’ve been using Qualtrics and Prolific for years and never had a problem like this - it seems to be a problem with the link within Qualtrics. Any ideas? Thanks!

Hi all, I am trying to show my respondents some additional text for each option shown in a side-by-side question (SEE SCREENSHOT BELOW).I cannot add this directly to the first column where the options are listed, as the options are carried forward from a previous question.My approach has been to add a second column with text boxes, and use the default choices function to populate the corresponding text that I want to show for each option. I want the second column to effectively be an extension of the first, rather than something for the respondent to edit.However, as it stands, I do not know how to ‘lock’ the text box so that this cannot be edited (or whether this is at all possible). Can anybody suggest how this could be done? Or any other approaches? Thanks!
