How to score a Matrix table - Likert - Profile

Hello there!I need to create a Matrix table with different answer scales for each statement (very classical - see photograph below). However it turns out that scoring is not available for this type of question. I looked online as well as on the community and did not find any solution. Unfortunately I cannot drastically change the type of matrix - I am reproducing a well-known psychology questionnaire and shuffling the questions or separating them might affect the outcome. Does anyone know how this issue could be circumvented?Many thanks!

Importing side by side questions from text

Hello, I would like to create a long survey of side by side questions and it will be very tedious to add them manually through the interface, so I would like to import them from a text. Is there a way to add a side by side question to a simple or advanced text? what is the format for that?

How to remove GeoIP Estimation from the Survey PDF Export

HelloI do not use, need or want the GeoIP Estimation in the PDF export of the survey. I have not found a way to remove this from it. There are no questions or logic in my survey that has to do with location.

Random Value same for 2 Treatments

Hello everyone,because of the global pandemic I can't do a physical experiment for my thesis. Therefore I will be using Qualtrics to set up an experiment. However, I am pretty new to Qualtrics. I have founf my way in the Survey Platform to almost get what I want. One question remains to me.In the experiment, people will be randomized to either treatment 1 or treatment 2. Both treatments will be Auction formats where people will be assigned random values for the good being auctioned. However, what I would really like to have is that the first person in treatment 1 gets the same random values as the first person in treatment 2, the second person in 1 the same values as the second person in 2 and so on. I can't seem to figure out how I could do that. For now, each person gets different random values with each period. (Period1_Value = ${rand://int/0:100}, Period2_Value = ${rand://int/0:100}, up till Period10_Value)Each period the participant needs a different random value, each participant

Merging two Matrix Questions in the Survey and in the Data

Hi everyone,If you see this image, there are two separate blocks of matrix items. I just want the items in a single block. But since I have already started collecting data in this survey, I can’t just add items to one of the blocks—I want to actually move the items and the data associated with them. How would I go about doing this? Quota

I have a survey that when the trigger is fired sends a survey to salesforce and from there it returns the survey responses to Qualtrics. To control my quotas I have created a condition, the embedded data from my agent's email, but doing tests does not skip the quota. I don't know where the problem could be.

Setting up authenticator so respondents can retake their survey once

I have a survey that's acting as a registration form. I'd like to have respondents review and update their responses after a certain amount of time in case any information has changed. 1) Is there a way to set up an authenticator so respondents can view their old responses and update them if needed. 2) If this is done through a retake link, is there a setting that will make the link expire after a single use?

Sorting question on mobile can't scroll down.

I'm trying to use sorting question on mobile. My survey has a lot of groups that I need to sort. It seems that I can't scroll down when I was dragging a choice.The solution I found is that I drag choice to one of the group, then I scroll down , then I drag the choice which is in group to the group I want.Is there other solution to this situation?

Q_PopulateResponse not working when using embedded fields

I am trying to prepopulate a multiple select question in a survey using embedded data from the contact list. I've created a test question Q1, with 3 options. In my contact data I have a field called Q1Hist which I've added as embedded data in the survey. Values in this field are 1,2 or 1,3 for example.Using Q_PopulateReponse I want to prepopulate Q1 with the values from Q1Hist. I'm having trouble trying to get the data from the url to populate the question responses.If I hard code the responses in the url everything seems to work and my Q1 question responses are populated correctly, but if I reference the embedded data field Q1Hist it does not work:Scenario 1:&Q_PopulateResponse={"QID1":"1,2"} worksScenario 2: &Q_PopulateResponse={"QID1":"${e://Field/Q1Hist}"} does not work(note: I'm using an ampersand because I'm joining to personal links and there's already a question mark in the url. How to randomize positive and negative statements?

Hi all, I'm trying to randomize whether users see the positive or negative "version" of a statement with an attached Likert scale. Is this possible within Qualtrics? I have a list of statements that have both positive/endorsing and negative/hesitating versions; for example, "Using OERs would enhance my students' learning" versus "Using OERs would detract from my students' learning", or "OERs provide reliable sources of information" versus "OERs contain content and factual errors". Think of my set of statements as [1[p,n], 2[p,n], 3[p,n], ...] each statement "topic" has a positive and negative version. I want users to respond to the all of statement topics, responding to either the negative or positive version of each statement, and randomize the order of statements AND whether each individual statement is the positive or negative version. How to improve image quality for a hot spot survey question

Hi all,My idea is to use a map image and respondents will click on regions or cities (used in a few different ways) that are marked on the map. The issue that I'm having is that the image quality is poor. The map was made in Adobe Illustrator and saved as a png at 150ppi. I've tried 300ppi and 72ppi as well, but the image is always too small and a bit blurry.I can't edit the image once it is added to the question, so it has to be uploaded precisely as I want it to appear. Just trying to figure out what settings I need to fix? Is this fixable?Thanks!

What is the difference between copying a project vs importing a .qsf file?

I' m curious about the import survey by importing a .qsf file. When I've attempted to import a survey using .qsf, I'm not import a survey to the project I'm in, importing a survey creates a new project and survey.QUESTION 1 Are there any instances where a qsf file can be imported to a project which doesn't create a new project? After QR codes are distributed and there's an interest in revising the survey, but NOT having to change the QR code - it would be helpful to be able to import a new survey to a project without being forced to create a new project and new survey.QUESTION 2 Are there any difference from creating a survey from within a project (which for me appears to be the same as copying a project from the main project interface where I see all my projects.

Using unique embedded data: Will the opt-out function remove email addresses altogether?

I sent multiple survey links to one email address, differentiated by embedded data/identifiers. Can I opt them out of one of the surveys (via a specific identifier) or will the opt-out function remove their email address altogether? Thank you!

Qualtrics and prolific - follow-up-study - automatic assignment to a condition

Dear all,my qualtric study has to parts (first study and a follow-up-study). I am using qualtrics and prolific.In the first study i am randomly assigning the participants into 2 groups. One groups is supposed to be reading "chapter nr. 1", the other "chapter nr. 2".In the next study (that's taking place the next day), participants that read "chapter 1" in the first study should be shown "chapter 2" and vice versa.Is there any posibility ( via qualtrics and prolific) to automaticly assign them to the right condition in study 2?Thank you!

How to repeat question label in matrix?

I am interested in having the question label appear every time the headers appear (every 8 questions or so). That way, especially for mobile users, the respondents will be able to reference the question with each answer choice in a long matrix.

Export with renamed column headers (Alias header columns)

I am new to Qualtrics. I need to export the data from Qualtrics. Is it possible to create alias column headers in Qualtrics for exporting the data? The survey questions are too long--I have to manually edit the column headers on my report after exporting. The information also exports symbols instead of spaces and I have to remove those as well. Any ideas?

Display a certain question after every 2 question blocks?

Hello,SITUATION:I'm trying to make a survey in which participants fill out several questionnaires. These questionnaires are displayed as blocks. These questionnaires (blocks) are Randomized (displayed in a random order), which basically shuffles the order in which they are given to participants.MY PROBLEM:I need to show 2 questionnaires (blocks) at random, and then insert a specific question after every 2 questionnaires. So, I need a way to Randomize all the Questionnaire blocks, count off when 2 questionnaire blocks have been completed, and then insert that one specific question after two questionnaire blocks have been completed. If you prefer visuals, see the attached diagram for a simplified illustration of the problem.CURRENT WORK:In the survey flow, I currently have metadata to track when two blocks have been completed. Survey PDF Export

HelloIn my survey some questions may not be filled out as they do not apply.When I export a completed survey to PDF it still shows the questions there were not filled out/answered. Is there a way to remove all the questions that were not answered on the PDF, that way it will only show what questions were answered?The other question I has is when you export to PDF it does not seem to follow normal page/word margins and the questions/responses go to the very end of the page, not the best looking.
