Sending accounts to student via email

Hi I just started learning about this software, I am currently building a survey system where student can choose their course and the post-survey workflow will send out accounts (based on the .txt file uploaded in my directory) automatically to students via email. (no one will have the same account)So if student A choose course Z, the workflow will give student A the first account in Z.txtIf B choose course Z, it will get the second account in Z.txt ….etc.  I am wondering what’s the best workflow to use here, currently I am trying to brench out all the course options, and in each option, I did the “Extract data from Qualtrics File Service” first then try to send out the accounts via email based on the account info I gathered. Does the extracting data always extract the same column…? Or does it automatically extract the next column once one is used? Any suggestions is appreciated, thanks!

How get the result of a workflow task wich failed

Hi there, I built a workflow based on multiple Qualtrics webservice calls. Sometimes, the number of calls exceed the limits and the webservice task failed. I would like to identify this fail for making a condition after the task. But I’ve got a problem with that : the body result of a succedded task and a failed task are totally differents. Look at this 2 exemple :Failed{ "name": "This task has been attempted too many times. How to setup a workflow using a Text iQ Topic

I was wondering if someone else had a difficult time of setting up a workflow using text iQ topic. I'm trying to create a workflow is that if a respondent is Extremely Dissatisfied and mentions home loans then it will send off an email to a manager for them to review the survey. I do have Home Loan setup as a topic in my text IQ. Please see examples below. In my survey, I have my main satisfaction KPI score, then I have two open ended question to ask about the experience and has display logic if they are satisfied they will be directed to one open ended question and if they aren't they will be directed to another open ended question. I have a branch logic called "Branch Overview" that ties the two questions together to give me a full overview of the experience. The Branch Overview is setup as an embedded data field, which is linked to my text iQ. How do I properly setup "Text Sentiment- Topic" in my survey flow that has the embedded data field and text iQ topic "Home Loans"? How do I

Calculation in a XM Directory Task

Email back-up address via Workflow

We have a survey in which respondents provide three email addresses for different contacts. Right now we have programmed a workflow to add the email addresses to a contact list, and to send an email with a second survey to the first address listed. I’d like to program it to send a second email to the second email listed IF there is no response to the first email after a period of time. This seems plausible, but the trigger would refer to two different surveys, and I can’t figure out how to get a workflow to incorporate information from two places. Any advice?

how i make a automation in the send of with two or more topics in one commenter

Hello everyone!!Currently, I'm working with workflows to automate the process after the customer responds to the NPS (Net Promoter Score) survey. In my workflow, I have been facing a duplication problem. I need to identify a single main classification topic to activate email sending based on that topic to the customer. However, the tool I'm using, Text IQ, doesn't have options to limit the number of topics or automatically identify the main topic.Let me give an example to illustrate the situation. Let's say I received the following response in my survey: "Terrible service! The attendants couldn't provide me with the price of product X, and I had other issues as well. The only saving grace for this unit is the good variety of products." Upon analyzing this response, Text IQ would classify it into two topics: "complaint" and "variety of products," which is correct. However, upon closer examination of the comment, it becomes clear that the most mentioned topic is "complaint."In the ideal

Survey Follow Up Email in Workflow

I am trying to send my survey participants a follow up email even though they have already completed the survey. Now with the new workflow integration, it seems that only email triggers after a specific event ( a new survey response) will send the email. I tried to work around this by scheduling a email to be sent out, however, if I use that “trigger” I am not able to pipe in all the information I pulled from the survey into the email.  How can I create an email to be sent out to past responses, even though the only options for the email workflow are for newly created responses or updated responses, which I have neither.

Adding reminder email based on message trigger and survey completion status

Hi, I’d like help with figuring out how to add reminder emails to a message trigger created from the “manage message triggers” in the list options. We are currently adding new members to our contact list twice a week, and to avoid creating new samples or contact lists to distribute an email, we created a message trigger for the list that will only send out the initial email to new members. I created reminder emails based off the first triggered email message trigger for this list that would only go out to those who had not finished the survey. But I saw today that the reminders were only attached to that first distribution, and even though the newly added members are getting the original email, they are not receiving the reminder emails.Is there any way to set up reminder emails to automatically go out at set intervals (1 day, 2 days, 3 days, 4 days) after the initial message is triggered for a newly added member if that member has not completed the survey?Thanks in advance for any and

Longitudinal Surveys - Ask same questions after randomization

Hello everybody, Qualtrics newcomer here :)I am building a survey where respondents are randomly assigned to 4 out of 8 different blocks. I would like then to send respondents a second survey, identical to the first one, where the block assignment is no more random but identical to the result of the first random assignment. That is, if individual A was randomly assigned to blocks 2,3,5,8 in the first survey, I would like her to be assigned to the same blocks 2,3,5,8 in the follow up survey.How can I do this?Thanks a lot!

Randomly assign people to conditions in a longitudinal study

Hi all,  I’m doing a longitudinal study (one time per week for 3 weeks). People will be assigned into a random condition (1 of 5) the first time they participate. How can I have it so that people who access the study again for the next time points will be in the same condition?For example, say Person A has been assigned to Condition 1 the first time they participate. How can I ensure that Person A will see the stimuli for Condition 1 (and not any of the other conditions) the second and third time they participate? Thank you in advance!

How can I use Text iQ workflows for responses in different languages?

Hello, I am creating workflows based on the open text of a multi-language survey. For this, I include the topics, which are in English, and if they are detected the workflow will trigger an action. However, it seems that it doesn't work with all the languages nor with the English translation of comments made in Qualtrics. For reporting comments I use text iQ, which considers the translation of comments, which are automatically translated by Qualtrics and this is great. But on the contrary, it's not possible to build the workflow based on those translated comments. I am wondering how can I create workflows for different languages?

XM Customer needs help

I would like to have a Qualtrics final assessment at the end of some online courses we have created within my company. I’d like to get fancy and if the person passes the assessment use code to automatically generate a certificate of passing grade/completion that fills in their name, the course name and the date and displays our company Logo.  Has anyone successfully done this and can help with the specifics of what I'd need to do? I'm a newbie to Qualtrics and other than add some workflow to capture the person's name and email address, I am afraid I am at a loss. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Math operations with loop & merge field data (or embedded data)

Hi,I want to perform maths operations with loop and merge field data. For simple arithmetic, I can write say: $e{ ${lm://Field/2}+3}. But I want, say, the maximum of loop and merge field and an embedded data field:max(${lm://Field/2}, $e{ e://Field/word + 3 }). How do I implement something like this? I am not good at Javascript, so if it requires custom code could you please provide the code as well? Thanks in advance!

Random choices from a list, maintaining order

I have a list of 15 choices (say 1-15). I want to select 5 choices from this list at random to be displayed for Q1. and a separate 5 for Q2 (with no overlap).Further, the display order must be preserved for both questions (if choices 1,3,4,7,8 were selected for q1, they should be displayed in that order and not as say 1,7,4,8,3). (So I cannot use advanced randomization).I was thinking of using a randomizer to randomly set 5 out of 15 'flags' to 'on' and for Q1 display only those choices which have the corresponding flag=on. What I am unable to do is for Q2 - how do I randomly select 5 of the 10 remaining choices to display for q2?Any help would be appreciated - thanks!

Loop & Merge until a specific option is selected

(Think of my question like a listing of hotels on say, Expedia). I have a question which lists 10 options. The user can choose any option which leads him to a 'detailed' page for that option. From that detailed page, he has two choices - 'Back to list' and 'select as final' . If the user chooses 'Back to list' he should be taken to the original list of 10 options. If he chooses 'Select as final', he should be taken to the next block of questions. The way I was thinking of implementing this was to loop & merge the block for 10 times (I do not see any user repeating it for more than 10 times), and if the 'select as final' option is chosen, using skip logic to go to 'End of the block'. The problem is that skipping to 'End of the block' does not break the loop, and it still loops all 10 times before the next block is displayed. Is there any way of breaking the loop if a particular option is selected?I do not know custom coding so any answer which does not resort to a custom code would be p

Email Task - Custom Single Response Report

Hi all,I need your help to understand if it is possible to customize "single response report" attached to an email task, especially the graphic appearance. Indeed, the graphic of the automatically generated report is not so clear and pleasant. Moreover, the report shows only the answer selected by the respondent, instead of all the possible answer option along with the selected one. A user who receives the email alert, may not remember all the possible answer options and the selected one is not totally informative about the respondent's opinion.In short, I'm asking if there is a way to obtain a look-like report of the legacy feature, that it is exactly what we need. Since this feature will be deprecated by February 18, I'm searching for any solution, even extremly custom.I evaluated the possibility to do something similar with "paginated report / advanced report" or through a dashboard. How to create a reuseable event based workflow

My team sends out various surveys that typically end with a "is there anything else you would like to tell us" type question. Sometimes theses responses contain keywords that we would like to trigger a response to alert our customer service team outside of Qualtrics.Is there any way to create a reuseable workflow that can be applied to that question anytime a survey is created? We would like to not duplicate the work for every individual survey.
