Hello, I am creating workflows based on the open text of a multi-language survey. For this, I include the topics, which are in English, and if they are detected the workflow will trigger an action. However, it seems that it doesn't work with all the languages nor with the English translation of comments made in Qualtrics. For reporting comments I use text iQ, which considers the translation of comments, which are automatically translated by Qualtrics and this is great. But on the contrary, it's not possible to build the workflow based on those translated comments. I am wondering how can I create workflows for different languages?

I would like to have a Qualtrics final assessment at the end of some online courses we have created within my company. I’d like to get fancy and if the person passes the assessment use code to automatically generate a certificate of passing grade/completion that fills in their name, the course name and the date and displays our company Logo.  Has anyone successfully done this and can help with the specifics of what I'd need to do? I'm a newbie to Qualtrics and other than add some workflow to capture the person's name and email address, I am afraid I am at a loss. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Hi,I want to perform maths operations with loop and merge field data. For simple arithmetic, I can write say: $e{ ${lm://Field/2}+3}. But I want, say, the maximum of loop and merge field and an embedded data field:max(${lm://Field/2}, $e{ e://Field/word + 3 }). How do I implement something like this? I am not good at Javascript, so if it requires custom code could you please provide the code as well? Thanks in advance!

I have a list of 15 choices (say 1-15). I want to select 5 choices from this list at random to be displayed for Q1. and a separate 5 for Q2 (with no overlap).Further, the display order must be preserved for both questions (if choices 1,3,4,7,8 were selected for q1, they should be displayed in that order and not as say 1,7,4,8,3). (So I cannot use advanced randomization).I was thinking of using a randomizer to randomly set 5 out of 15 'flags' to 'on' and for Q1 display only those choices which have the corresponding flag=on. What I am unable to do is for Q2 - how do I randomly select 5 of the 10 remaining choices to display for q2?Any help would be appreciated - thanks!

(Think of my question like a listing of hotels on say, Expedia). I have a question which lists 10 options. The user can choose any option which leads him to a 'detailed' page for that option. From that detailed page, he has two choices - 'Back to list' and 'select as final' . If the user chooses 'Back to list' he should be taken to the original list of 10 options. If he chooses 'Select as final', he should be taken to the next block of questions. The way I was thinking of implementing this was to loop & merge the block for 10 times (I do not see any user repeating it for more than 10 times), and if the 'select as final' option is chosen, using skip logic to go to 'End of the block'. The problem is that skipping to 'End of the block' does not break the loop, and it still loops all 10 times before the next block is displayed. Is there any way of breaking the loop if a particular option is selected?I do not know custom coding so any answer which does not resort to a custom code would be p

Hi all,I need your help to understand if it is possible to customize "single response report" attached to an email task, especially the graphic appearance. Indeed, the graphic of the automatically generated report is not so clear and pleasant. Moreover, the report shows only the answer selected by the respondent, instead of all the possible answer option along with the selected one. A user who receives the email alert, may not remember all the possible answer options and the selected one is not totally informative about the respondent's opinion.In short, I'm asking if there is a way to obtain a look-like report of the legacy feature, that it is exactly what we need. Since this feature will be deprecated by February 18, I'm searching for any solution, even extremly custom.I evaluated the possibility to do something similar with "paginated report / advanced report" or through a dashboard. My team sends out various surveys that typically end with a "is there anything else you would like to tell us" type question. Sometimes theses responses contain keywords that we would like to trigger a response to alert our customer service team outside of Qualtrics.Is there any way to create a reuseable workflow that can be applied to that question anytime a survey is created? We would like to not duplicate the work for every individual survey.

Hello, I would like to be able to prompt an email to be sent when I, as the administrator/survey creator, make an edit to one of the questions on a submitted response - is this possible?Basically I'm thinking of adding a reference number manually to a question at the start (when the response has been reviewed) and then would like to receive a PDF of the response by email (as the email response summaries are more concise than the responses you can download from Data & Analysis). I can't see an option to do this, but wanted to check I'm not missing something/another way of doing this.Thanks in advance!

Hi,I am in the midst of creating a survey.In the workflows, I have chosen survey response and i am setting 'add a condition'I am selecting question.Totally there are 14 questions but the question drop down box shows only 11. I have a list of 20 options for a question. I want survey respondents to be shown a random set of 5 from these 20. (IE, the list of 20 remains constant, but the 5 options displayed should vary randomly across respondents). What is the easiest way to achieve this? [Beginner here]Thanks!

Hi there,I just want to get results from a POST API (search contacts in a directory), but all the body of the result go to a unique $.result piped txt. How can I get a unique element like "id". I've tried $.result.element.id but it didn't work.Thanks

UPDATE: Well, after tossing and turning and worrying like crazy about this and causing many delays and inconveniences, it now works! This morning all the "failed" workflows are now "success". I spoke with a very nice and patient Qualtrics representative who says to just "keep an eye out" to see if happens again but could have been caused by the "data center latency" issues from last week.=====================================Hi, I keep getting this error even though I've used the same workflow many times previously for other surveys and they worked. Hello Community,I am very new to Qualtrics and currently I am exploring a use case. Need your help in understanding if this is a feasible ask or if there is any other way of doing it?Use Case: I have an excel file which has a list of contact details(Name, Email) along with the project ID that the contact is tagged to. This is a monthly report and can be placed in an SFTP folder as needed. I want to build a workflow that triggers every month end and reads the contact details from the excel and sends out the survey to the contact email addresses that is fetched from the excel. It would be great if we can add the project ID to the subject/body since I would like to track the response on the basis of the project ID.Any help/leads would be truly appreciated.

Hello all and good morning from a rainy Sweden!We have seen some responses from a web-survey of ours come in marked as Spam in the response data. I have tried applying a honey pot setup in a hidden question in an attempt to try and flag and filter these Spam-responses out afterwards, but the setup I'm using is not working as new Spam responses are coming in but are not "falling for" the honey pot setup and leaving the hidden question unanswered. The Java script I have used on the honey pot questions is: Qualtrics.SurveyEngine.addOnload(function(){  jQuery("#"+this.questionId).hide();});What am I doing wrong? And why is there no way to set alerting and/or rules for responses based on the "Response Type" on the response data? That should be part of the meta data in my world. This workflow was completely functional before the response options for this question were edited. Does anyone have any ideas where the breakage might be? Thanks!

Hello,I want to trigger an event based workflow, but my only options while adding conditions are "all of the following are true" and "any of the following are true." I need an option that allows me add a condition in this way: "at least X of the following are true." For example, I have 10 questions (Yes/No) in my survey. And I want to trigger this workflow when a participant answers to at least 2 of those questions "Yes." Without this option, I have to add the each answer combination as an alternative condition which is extremely time consuming for long surveys. (like, (Q1 AND Q2) OR (Q1 AND Q3) OR (Q1 AND Q4) etc etc)Any suggestions? Thank you!

I received a communication from Qualtrics that I need to share with users regarding the legacy single response report that needs to be migrated to use the new single response report solution. In the email 2 options are given on how to switch to the new solution. Here is the wording of the two options: Create an email task via Workflows and enable the “Include Response Report” option. This will automatically include a response report link in your email.Use an embedded data field in your email task to pipe in the new single response report URL. The format of the piped text is #2 is incomplete in the email. It says "The format of the piped text is" and it ends there. It doesn't show the format of the piped text that I can share with users.

I know Qualtrics is doing away with email triggers at some point and those must now be in workflows. I built a workflow just like the trigger which sends email to a group of 6 people upon completion of the survey. Instructions in the body of the email include to 'Reply all' to continue the discussion of the completed form. In email triggers, all our names would display in the from field and allows 'Reply all'. In Workflow I was told by support this is not an option and everyone just gets an email with only their name as recipient. Has anyone found a work around for this? It seems impossible that an email does not have a Reply All feature. Thank you ~

There are three different evaluation points that I want to automated to create reports for users using embedded data. Teams are working in groups of 5 (8 total groups) and will evaluate themselves at both the middle of the program and end of the program, and will evaluate 1 other team member at the midpoint and ALL team members at the end point. So i'm working with:a mid-term self-evaluation a mid-term evaluation done for 1 other team memberan end of program evaluation (one survey done for themselves and others)At the end of the program, each participant and their manager receive a compilation of the feedback from all of these evals. Is there a way to automate this reporting with embedded data that can pull all comments about X person into a report for exporting?Last year we had all program participants enter all of their team members names (including themselves) in an open text format and then provide feedback (strengths and weaknesses). Hi - I'm new to Qualtrics and have been struggling a bit but have managed to find answers for most of my doubts online. Now I'm stumped. I'm doing a dyadic survey - to employees and then to their managers/supervisors. The employee enters their own email address (which is their identification) and selects (I've given them a drop down list to select from) their supervisor. Then I send the supervisor a different survey where they rate the employees who have named them as their manager, My question is for the supervisor/manager survey. Can I send the employee's email address embedded in the survey link so that when the supervisor clicks on the link he/she sees a message that says "You are rating xxxx employee who indicated that you are their supervisor"? Not sure I've explained the issue well.Any help would be much appreciated and gratefully received.Thanks so muchKiran

Hi Everyone, I have the following problem: I would like to avoid multiple submissions from each respondent to a survey I am about to run.I have access to the "Avoid multiple submission" option, but that can be bypassed by using a different browser (or removing cookies). I cannot collect participants' emails and I do not have a contact list. Is there a way for me to generate some kind of submission form where:participants submit emails to get an individual link automatically;the form checks for duplicate emails and does not produce a link if an email already exists;emails collected are destroyed after at survey close.Or anything that would allow me to distribute a single individual link per participant when I do not have a contact list at all.
