Opting out multiple contacts from a list

I have have deployed 4 surveys for a client and they provided the contact list for each survey. They indicated they had deduped the lists against each other, but I am now realizing they did not. Subsequently some people are receiving multiple surveys when ideally they should only receive one. I did some analysis on the overlap and identified ~850 people who are receiving multiple surveys. It is not feasible to opt them out individually and was wondering if there was a way to do a large scale opt out. In the precursor to Directory XM you could export a list, make updates to it and reimport it after the updates were made. I have been searching around in the community and on the support page to see if there is a way to do this and am coming up empty.I uploaded a separate list for each survey so the are 4 lists I would need to update. Thanks in advance for any advice.Anne

Every time a new entry is added to the contact list, a blank entry is also generated.

The "update existing list members" checkbox is not selected, and the survey is accessible to the public through an anonymous link. Is there a method for Qualtrics to prevent generating a blank record every time a new entry is included in the contact list? I have attached a screenshot for reference.

"Code" in workflow for variable manipulation without creation in survey flow

1. We have a multiple-choice question with 5 options. If someone selects the 2nd or3rd option, it will be coded as -Yes-. If the selected option is not 2 or 3, it will berecorded as -No-. And it all should be done by “Code” which is available in work flow.2. We are implementing this to ensure that we can retrieve this in dashboard data view.

Survey Redirection

When redirecting a survey to another this is the message that is automatically set up: “Please wait while you are redirected.” However, how can I edit this text or add translations to this piece of text?

Automation - Distribution - Email From Name

Hi,I have setup the following Automation:first a contact import from a file on the Qualtrics File Service Then a linked email Distribution automation.The automation as such is running fine,but I would like to use a variable in the From name.As the From name, I would like to use our Brand name, plus as a variale the Country,so e.g. From “Qualtrics Belgium” or From “Qualtrics France”, depending on the metadata value of the country of the respondent that this distribution is sent to.I have tried using ${e://Field/Country}  and ${m://Country} as variables for the country field, but this did not seem to work.Is it possible to use variables within an Automatin in the From name, and how should it then be done exactly?Thank you,

Workflow - Directory Status (Opt-Out) Please Help 🙏

Hi EveryoneVia survey workflow, I can successfully add a respondent to an XM directory. ✅I can also unsubscribe them; ✅But doing this, only unsubscribes them from the contact list in question.How do I unsubscribe them from the directory? I assume if they’ve opted-out from a contact list like the above, they could still receive correspondence as they remain opted-in to the directory?If someone presses unsubscribe from an email invite, do they unsubscribe from the contact or the directory?As always, thanks for your help!

Skip logic

I have got a survey live to participants and they are participating every minute. I want to make a slight change at the end of my survey by adding a skip logic to a block. Does that delete any existing data from participants who took part already?

Workflow to Opt-out

Hi all, I have a survey to send to a panel where I have multiple email addresses for some members of the panel, and I’m not sure which email address is more effective.  If I send an email to Ryan at both r@gmail.com and y@gmail.com, and they respond to r@gmail.com, is there a way that I can use the Workflow XM Directory task to opt-out the contact with r@gmail.com from the list?Assume that each panel row has the other email as embedded data. I know I can find the correct contact, but I’m not sure I can edit the opt-out status via the XM Directory task. Alternatively, there another workaround that I’m missing?Thanks!

Error: Unable to connect to SFTP server for automations

I’ve been through all of the possible resolutions and I’m still not able to fix this problem. My directory automations were working fine until we changed Tech Directors in May and our SFTP host wiped all of his data. Our tech team was able to get in and add our files. We updated the password in Qualtrics automations, but nothing has fixed the error. I don’t understand the message saying “unable to connect” when all of our other automations are working fine now using the same host.Has anyone had similar issues that can help? Any other tips?

Email Duplicates Confirmation Help :)

Hi EveryoneI hope you can help.I have a contact list that has been sent a survey.I now have a new contact list and it’s possible this list will have duplicates from the original list.Am I right in thinking, when I send the same survey to the new list, Qualtrics will automatically skip any duplicate emails that have already been sent the same survey?Thanks :)

XM Directory Task - record initial response in directory

Hi folks! I am creating a survey with a workflow XM Directory task. The idea is that once the respondent takes the survey for the first time, their information is added to a contact list. This survey is for feedback for an in-person service. People will be asked to scan a QR code and fill out the survey each time they visit the service. I want to be able to track their responses each time, and see how many times they have filled out the service, as there are limits to how many times they can access it. Hence, why I wanted them added to a contact list. But, I won’t be sending them personalized links, they will always be scanning this anonymous QR code. I was able to set up an authenticator, so that if they select the option “I have visited the service before” in the first question in the survey, they are asked to input their email/ID number and this then connects their response to their contact ID (rather than using a personalized link). This seems to work just fine. However, the issue

Contact import SFTP to Qualtrics, using a Private SSH key?

Hey guys, has anyone used Directory import automation SFTP to Qualtrics, using a Private SSH key? We were previously using a contact import automation from the directory section and usign SFTP import with username and password, and then distribution via email/SMS, this was working fine. however the clients IT team wants to now use a private SSH key instead of the password. in the Directory->Automations section we can use SSH, however that only allows me to use a public key and needs to configured back to the SFTP (i am assuming i am correct on this, if i have read the below support page correct). https://www.qualtrics.com/support/iq-directory/automations/file-import-sources-for-contact-automations/#SFTPServer However this is not what the IT team wants to do, they want to use a private key instead. For using a private key we have to configure a SFTP account via extensions. and this can be later used in a workflow. as mentioned in the below support pagehttps://www.qualtrics.com/suppor

Dynamic sender of XM email survey invites OR ability to export unique survey URLs to do this via Marketo

My use case: Our NPS survey initially comes from an executive, but we find that sending reminders from CSMs (who have the relationship) improves the response rate by 3-5x So I want to send the first email from the CCO, then second email follow-up from the CSM if the user has not yet respondedToday, it’s not possible (to my knowledge, would love to be wrong here :-):Automate sending of a survey “dynamically” from a dynamic sender (seems wild this is not possible, too!!) What should be the contact frequency rule to hide intercept from a contact for 4 weeks

So I am trying to restrict a person from viewing the intercept on the website for 4 weeks after they have seen the intercept once. I am using Linking with XMD option for this. But for some reason the intercept fails on testing because of contact frequency rule. What should be the exact contact frequency rule to hide intercept from a contact for 4 weeks. PS: i am not using a segment

Avoid duplicate emails in email invite automation.

Hi everyone, I need your help on email invite automation. Request we have:Need to send the email invite to those customers who will purchase the product. Their information will be imported in Qualtrics XMD from two different data sources (Salesforce and App). Then based on updated information (new purchase number) survey will be triggered.Process we are following:We are extracting data from both data sources using extractor template in workflow. Then, merging both data using purchase number in merging rule and creating one contact in XMD. Then we are sending email invites using XMD distribution automation feature for every new purchase. This process will run daily basis.Issue we are facing: Kindly help me, how can I resolve that issue.Contact should receive email only if their purchase number will be changed. But every contact is getting email invite everyday even if new purchase number is generating or not. Email should only receive after new purchase.

How do I use previous answers in a current distribution

We use multiple complete questionnaires to keep track of updates in any people’s survey answers. The report for each survey then get sent out via email distribution every time they complete it. Is there a way to use some of the embedded data from the previous time the person completed the survey in the more recent email distribution so that the email can display the current response score and then a previous one for selected questions?Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Masking of Personal Information

Mask the personal information in Qualtrics post email has been sent out.Customer provides the contact details in a CSV file, distribution mode here is email.As soon the emails are sent/responses are submitted, all personal information like Name, email id, phone should be masked within Qualtrics.Any suggestions on how to do it or an idea. I am all ears.

Trouble showing user groups, not showing correctly, becuase of Language.

I  made a user group last december in Korean. It’s July and still has been showing broken characters.  When other EX administrators share their project, the name of EX admins show correctly. Th e only  problem occurs when it’s user group. Any body has suffered from the same issue? or solved?

B2B data in XM Directory

Hi all,I am researching how to store B2B data in the XM Directory, where an Account can have multiple Contacts, and the Contacts receive the surveys. But in dashboards you should be able to filter all survey responses from contacts belonging to accounts that have a turnover larger than xxx€, for example.I am studying the info on https://www.qualtrics.com/support/integrations/salesforce-integration/more-salesforce-integration/b2b-command-center-cx/#SFTPWhat I cannot find in the documentation:in the Contact sample file, there does not seem to be any field to indicate the relation between a Contact and his Account? Or am I overlooking something?Are both the Contacts and the Accounts visible within the XM Directory after a data load, or only the Contacts? Can you see a Contact's relation with an Account?

Recibir alarmas por mail con reglas en el directorio

Hola, buen día, cómo están? quería ver si me pueden ayudar a crear alarmas para que me llegue una notificación vía mail cuando se cumple una regla entre los contactos del directorio. Ejemplo: que me llegue una alarma si algún campo del directorio tiene menos del 20% de los contactos completos en ese campo. Mi idea es entender si ese campo no está en encuestas y se podría eliminar o si hay que hacer ajustes para elevar el %. Gracias!
