Request to Display All Questions in a Block on the Same Page

Hello everyone,I hope you are doing well. I am currently working on a survey and I’ve noticed that all questions in a block are displayed with page breaks in between. This gives the impression to clients that the survey is much longer than it actually is, which can be a bit overwhelming.I would like to know if there’s a way to configure the survey so that all the questions within a block are displayed on the same page, without requiring the user to click ‘Next’ after each question. This would greatly enhance the user experience and make the survey feel more concise.Any guidance or suggestions on how to achieve this would be greatly appreciated!Thank you!

Carousel Javascript Randomization

Hello, I have a list of 10 items that I want to randomize by splitting them into two sets: the first set is shuffled randomly, and the second set is reordered to align with the shuffled order of the first. For example, an accepted shuffle of A1, B1, C1, D1, E1, A2, B2, C2, D2, E2 would be B1, E1, C1, A1, D1, B2, E2, C2, A2, D2.  I was able to do this for a side-by-side question, however my logic doesn’t seem to work for a matrix type question that is displayed as carousel. My JS code is overwritten and the cards are shown in the non-shuffled order. I would appreciate any pointers. Please find my code below. Formatting qualtrics Results .csv in format for GenAI (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) analysis

** update:  the below applies to data exported in .csv from the Results tab -  It just occurred to me that exporting raw .csv data from the data & analysis tab may be more GenAI friendly, but I don’t know **.  Starting a conversation  here about  experiences with GenAI analysis of qualtrics results data, what worked / did not work, etc. Scripts to translate into GenAI readable formats, any tips or tricks, learnings, suggestions for Qualtrics, etc.  If there is already a thread on this, I couldn’t find it. GenAI is very useful when doing an analysis of survey data to highlight key points in more complex surveys where using StatsIQ and TextIQ would take a ton of time and expertise, including translating in to English language statements / paragraphs, etc.  Very sophisticated analysis, surfacing really impactful insights that would be hard to find otherwise I have had varying results having ChatGPT or Anthropic’s Claude do an analysis of survey data downloaded in .csv format from the

Peer evaluation/piping responses across surveys

Hi all, I would like to do the following two part survey design: (1) have my students respond to 10 different scenarios, (2) have students evaluate anonymized responses from their peers — for each scenario, they would see 5 randomly-sampled responses from part 1, and evaluate the response on a likert scale. I’m wondering what is the best/most efficient way to do this. Right now I was thinking of pulling down the responses from part 1, and then copy and paste them into loop & merge (with separate columns for each scenario). But if there are more efficient or automated ways to achieve this (i.e., that don’t require me to pull down the data from survey 1 and copy it over to survey 2), I would be very grateful to hear them. Many thanks in advance,David

Need help about grouping multiple answers question

Hi all,I would like to group modalities within my survey without using the Dashboard module, but for my analysis in the Results tab. It's a multiple question and when I go through “field editor” it groups the modalities that have been selected uniquely and not when several are selected. Please see the original question and the results using the field editor but results are not correct :In blue my first group which I named “ST Produit” and in red “ST fidèle/satisfaction SRP”. And the results I obtained : It is not possible to get a lower percentage with the subtotal.How to do it properly ?Thanks

SPSS File format

If I export the data in excel or csv without selecting “Split multi value fields into columns” and can I upload this into SPSS and run the analysis. just custom tables with stat testing that what I need. Can anyone let me know what are pros and cons.  There is a option to download as sav format, “Split multi values into columns” option is not displayed for this format and one more thing is that, recode values are not in sequence. It takes time to fix this. Hope someone can answer it.

Embedding a signature in an e-mail trigger?

I'm trying to replicate a paper form that requires a signature, and then e-mail a printable copy of this form to the respondent and the administrative personnel responsible for processing the form.I am using the Signature Question field but don't know how to embed its answer as with other survey questions or embedded data.How do I embed the response to a Signature Question in an e-mail trigger? I already tried checking "Include response report" and "Show full question text" but neither of those include the signature.

Qualtrics Javascript timeout behaving unpredictably

**TLDR Main issue:** The same JS code has been replicated over multiple blocks of qualtrics to time out each block within 35 minutes. But, in one of of 10 implementions, one of the blocks is randomly  getting timed out too soon. And it is never happening in the first block.**Details:** I am using Qualtrics blocks that should time out in 35 minutes, I have an embedded variable called "limit" that is set at 35 minutes (2100000ms). Each block has multiple loops (using a feature called loop-and-merge). Cannot Save Questions

Hi everyone,I’m having a problem with editing my survey. Every time I try to edit text, for example by changing a question’s name, the following message pops-up:I’ve tried several different wifi networks and several different browsers but this keeps happening. When I restart my computer or refresh the page it will sometimes work for 2-3 minutes then the message will pop up again. This only started after I switched the account I was working with, before that I worked with a different account and had no issues. Additionally, I tried a differend computer and it works, so it seems that the problem is only in ,my laptop.Any ideas what might cause this and how can I fix it?Thanks in advance!

Qualtrics Survey Paradata

Hello everyone,I have a question regarding the availability of paradata within a survey.Recently, after finishing a survey, it was found that I was required to make a question non forced for a response. That is, the correct answer was not to select any option from the multi choice. Yes, its ridiculously stupid, I have been beating myself over it :((I was wondering if Qualtrics logs the error message pop ups or the key strokes for each question, for each participant, as paradata per haps? I was not able to find a conclusive answer to this. I have not added any sort of custom code to the survey.If that’s not the case, is there any other way to tackle this problem?Thanks for the support.Best,

Help - Implementing a Calendar Picker in Qualtrics Survey for Date Selection

Hi everyone, I'm looking for a way to create a question in a survey project where the customer can select a date from a calendar instead of typing it in. Currently, I have a simple Text Entry question with a custom Regex validation, but my client is not completly satisfied and would like to see if there is a way to replace this question with a calendar picker. Has anyone successfully implemented this type of question in a survey and could help me out? Thanks 😄

Strange duplication of embedded data field

A very strange thing that happens… someone also had the same?When using the workflow survey distribution which saves the embedded data and then distribute the survey some of the embedded data fields are duplicated to the same line. For example: intead of Partner = Yes, I get Partner = YesYes or NoNo as in the image.All of this is part of the codes of JS that is running prior to this task, but there everything is fine, and I had the same issue when not using this code, but running the survey distribution task based on email and data customers put as input in a survey… any idea what is influencing the duplication?? ​@TomG  maybe you saw this once?

Randomly selecting the same block twice

I have a randomizer in my survey which selects 6 blocks from a set of 100. I want participants to see the exact same 6 blocks later in the survey for the second time – is there any way I can do that? Thanks in advance!

FlatPickr in "New Survey Experience"

Custom Survey message for LINK EXPIRATION

Hi Community,We’re stumble upon a weird behavior on Qualtrics and needing your view on thisWe are sending personal survey link that expired in 1 day to customer.  Base language is Vietnamese The Inactive survey message (Show a message to people who visit your survey after it expires or after you’ve made it inactive.) is customized in Vietnamese, English (US), English (UK)When testing, the message only show the default one: “Your survey session has expired and you cannot continue taking the survey.” No matter if the Base Language is Vietnamese or English….Upon further testing, I’ve found out that the above ‘Inactive survey message’ is only work with the Survey Project expire or inactive. The Link expiration date in Distribution tab will trigger the default one.Is there anyway to customize this? This is urgent. We’ll appreciate any idea 🙏🙏🙏

How to make embedded YouTube video adjust to device screen size

Hello, everyone!I’m struggling to ensure that my videos display well for all participants regardless of the device they are using to complete the survey. I’m talking about smartphones, tablets, and laptops/desktops.I’ve embedded YouTube videos using the HTML code from YouTube.When the HTML code used a height of 315 and a width of 560, the videos were only partially displayed on my smartphone’s screen (Samsung A71).I found a suggestion here https://community.qualtrics.com/custom-code-12/resize-videos-to-fit-screen-24737 to change the width in the HTML code to “100%” and the height to “auto.”After that change, the videos started fitting on my Samsung phone screen, though the useful area of the video, the one with the picture showing information, became a bit smaller.At the same time, the computer version of the video became long and narrow, and the video itself occupies a very small part of the screen while about two-thirds of the area is black space:My question is: Is there any HTML cod

Question: Sending Reminders and Combining Repeated Measures Data in Qualtrics

Hey Qualtrics Wizards!I have two related questions about setting up a repeated-measures survey in Qualtrics: Reminders: Is it possible for Qualtrics to send automatic reminder emails to participants who forget to complete a session? If so, how can I configure this feature to ensure participants stay on track? Combining Data: For a repeated-measures study with multiple sessions, is there a way to combine all the participant responses into one excel spreadsheet rather than having separate datasets for each session? JS Randomization for Carousel Type Questions

Hello, I have a list of 10 items that I want to randomize by splitting them into two sets: the first set is shuffled randomly, and the second set is reordered to align with the shuffled order of the first, preserving their pairings. For example for a list of A1, B1, C1, D1, E1, A2, B2, C2, D2, E2 an example of correct randomization would be: A1, C1, B1, E1, D1, A2, C2, B2, E2, D2. I was able to get this working for a side-by-side question, but I’m having trouble replicating it for a Matrix question displayed as a carousel. In the carousel, there is no randomization at all. Below, I’ve included the code that works for the side-by-side question and my attempt to adapt it for the carousel. Any tips or suggestions would be super helpful. Auto-Populate Field in Drill Down Group Using JavaScript

I need help automating responses within a drill-down question in Qualtrics. Specifically, I have three groups in the drill-down question:Group 1: Income in 2023 (answer options: income ranges). Group 2: Whether income has changed in 2024 compared to 2023 (answer options: Yes/No). Group 3: Income in 2024 (answer options: income ranges).I want to automatically populate Group 3 with the same value as Group 1 if the respondent selects "No" for Group 2. For example, in my picture, the field for 2024 will be automatically display Less than €12,189 if the answer to changes is no. This would save respondents from having to manually select the same value again in Group 3. I am completely new to JavaScript and would really appreciate your help!

Excluding Data from Denominator

In our dashboard, we want to exclude an answer choice, because that choice means that during the observation that “thing” was not happening. For instance, in an ELAR room, it was not the time of day for fluency instruction, so that was “NP” or “Not Present”, but because the Agency requires us to choose that option the data is skewed. I went into the Dashboard data and chose “exclude from analysis”, unfortunately, that only excludes that option from showing. It doesn’t remove that data from the denominator. Is there a way to exclude the surveys from that widget that chose that answer? In the graphic attached, I excluded NP,  which would make the 35% a 70%.

Trouble setting up e-mail triggers

Hi,I'm trying to set up e-mail triggers to re-send the survey link to my participants a week after they've completed a portion of it. At the start of the survey my participants fill out a question asking for their e-mail adress. I'm trying to set up the e-mail triggers so that these e-mail adresses are automatically used by qualtrics so that i dont have to manually add every e-mail adress. So far i've tried two ways: setting up e-mail triggers setting it up as a workflowI'm pretty sure my conditions are set up correctly, I think qualtrics just has trouble finding the e-mail adresses that my participants filled out? I'll add screenshots so maybe one of you can figure out what i'm doing wrong Thanks in advance for your help!
