Hi,I’m using Qualtrics Website & App Feedback intercepts and I’m seeing an issue with Custom Trigger → Trigger On Click.Setup Same project and same page Multiple intercepts enabled at the same time Each intercept: Uses Custom Trigger → On Click Targets a different HTML element but displays the same survey Expected behaviorAll intercepts should work simultaneously and display their survey when their specific HTML element is clicked.Actual behavior If only one intercept is active → it works If more than one intercept is active → only the first activated/published intercept works The other intercepts never display their survey No console errors

I have a contact list of known respondants and plan to ask them a different set of questions 4 times over the course of a program. Some questions overlap and build off each other, so I’ve built all questions in one survey, using different blocks. I issued the initial questions in Block Q1 months ago and now want to email the same contact list the questions only in Block Q2 (some of these questions pipe in their responses from questions in Q1). How do I direct the respondants to ONLY Block Q2 while using the email distribution feature in Qualtrics? 

I’m having an issue using inline question in my email distribution.  In my testing I can click on the NPS question to answer from the email.  In doing so, it takes me to the questionnaire as expected.  I close it not wanting to answer any other questions.  When I then look in responses in progress, I can see my ‘started survey’ but my answer to the inline question is not showing.  Does anyone have a fix for this?  I would expect the answer to the one NPS question to eventually carry forward to the rest of the completed responses since it is an answer to an inline question.

I have never experienced a level of disappointment and frustration with the support side of a product/service as I have with Qualtrics Course Evaluations (formerly QClassroom). First, there isn’t even a Course Evaluation option on the Customer Success Hub, so when I do reach out for support, the technicians always say they need to redirect the enquiry to a QClassroom tech. Why isn’t our product supported on the success hub? Then, every time I submit a support ticket it takes at least a week to get a response. And, when I do get a response it’s as though the technician didn’t even bother to read the detail given in the ticket in the first place. I had one issue that took 3 months to resolve, largely due to how much time it took to get a response from Qualtrics between messages. They refuse to support on the phone or videoconference. So we’re stuck with emails that no one seems to be in any rush to respond to. As a result we lost huge amounts of data and the goodwill of our Faculty. W

At the start of the year, my organization changed sales hierarchy nomenclature and account reassignment (e.g. Level 1, Level 2, Level 3 to Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3). There is also not a 1 to 1 change - accounts have been realigned so Level 1 does not necessarily equal Tier 1.  Now, I cannot trend data from 2024 in a Tracker due to nomenclature change -- embedded data fields don’t match. How can I insert the new embedded data fields into the 2024-2025 responses without going response by response?  Is there a way in the Directory to update respondents? I know I need to add the new embedded data field into Survey Flow. Do I have to export all responses, insert new embedded data fields and import? 

I am the brand administrator for a large university. If we delete a user account, can another account be created with the same username later? According to Qualtrics materials, the answer is no. But is there a workaround to this? It is entirely possible that a student leaves for a few years, and then later reenrolls and needs an account.We do not have SSO and have a Qualtrics Lite license.Thanks for any tips.

I’m setting up a Qualtrics experiment with 7 between-subjects groups (participants are randomly assigned to 1 group via Survey Flow randomizer). Within each group, participants see 4 blocks (S&C, L&D, I&P, A&C) plus: a First Impressions Scale block that must always appear in position 2, and for Groups 2–7 only, a Manipulation Check block that must always appear last. Each of the four blocks includes instructions, experimental materials, and a rating scale. I need the 4 blocks to be fully randomized around these fixed blocks (e.g., any of the 4 can be in positions 1, 3, 4, 5), while keeping: First Impressions Scale always at #2, and Manipulation Check (when present) always at #6. I’m planning a survey with a randomly awarded incentive. The odds of winning the incentive will change based on total response count. The first 1k respondents will have the best odds, then the next 1k, and then the rest. I was thinking of using quotas to branch into the different randomizers for each group. I’ve never used quotas before and I’m having a hard time getting it to work as intended. I created a simple quota that incremented if an embedded data field was populated. The problem is it incremented for all of the quotas rather than the first one. How do I create a single quote that increments when I survey is completed, then when that quota is fulfilled a subsequent quota starts incrementing, and so on.

Hi everyone,I’m looking for best practices around reporting completion metrics using the Response Funnel.In our project, we track completion rate using a custom metric:Completion rate = Finished responses / Started responsesWe’ve realised that after a certain period, incomplete responses are either deleted or recorded as part of our data hygiene process. Since the Response Funnel reflects the current state of responses, this seems like it would reduce the “Started” count over time and potentially inflate the completion rate historically.This raises a few questions for us: Does deleting or recording incomplete responses retroactively change the Response Funnel counts used in dashboards? How do teams typically avoid completion rates becoming artificially high over time because of this cleanup? Do you use snapshots, time-bound calculations, or another approach

I have a simple 1-question survey with 2 answer options (yes/no). I have embedded data in the survey, pulled in from the contact list I uploaded. As a respondent, when I select the “No” answer, everything looks fine. However, when I select yes, it adds “custom value” behind the actual value of the embedded data. Hi, I have a survey with English as base language and French as translation. I don't need the English version as I’ll send the questionnaire in France. Is there a way to delete the English version and keep the French one? I only find ways to do the reverse (when I want to change the base language to French, Qualtrics wants to delete the French version). Note that I don’t want to simply hide the language dropdown menu, as I want to be able to modify the questionnaire on the main page and not on the translation section.

Does anyone know a way to generate a list of which surveys have SSO enabled in their survey flow?  We need to update them with new settings, but we do not have a list of which ones use it.

My program sends a out a 10 question survey (mixed quantitative and qualitiative responses) to attednees of webinars. It typically takes 3-4 minutes to download the results of each survey - very slow and disruptive to my workflow. Is this typical of Qualtrics? I tried customer support but they don’t seem to see this as an issue. Does anyone else have this issue and is there a way to speed up the data download?

Hi everyone — I’m building a Qualtrics survey with a “points wallet” system.On the same page, respondents: choose a travel mode (Drive Alone / Carpool / Transit), and each mode has a points cost, and enter “How many points would you like to use today?” (partial payment). I need the numeric entry to be capped at the selected mode’s cost (e.g., if Drive Alone costs 250 points, the input must be ≤ 250). The mode’s cost is stored in an embedded data field S1D1_CostPoints, but I realized embedded data doesn’t update until the page submits, so standard validation can’t read it on the same page.What’s the best way to enforce this constraint on the same page in Qualtrics? (JavaScript solution is fine.)For reference, my export tags are S1D1_Mode (mode question) and S1D1_PartialPay (numeric entry).

Hello,I’m working on a survey project using a generic link (anonymous) + authentication. The reason for this is easier promotion of the survey while still being able to track respondent background information and use it in reporting.For a generic link, a reminder would go to everyone in the contact list regardless they have completed the survey or not. To avoid this, I used to be able to set up a trigger so that anyone who has completed the survey would be automatically opt out from the list. When I send a reminder to the same contact list, those who have completed the survey wouldn’t receive it which is perfect.Now Qualtrics has updated the software. The functionalities have changed and I couldn’t see the historic set-up or figure out how to set the trigger up again this time. I thought the survey workflow could be used to achieve this. I tried to pipe in the metadata field “Finished” (1 is finished, 0 is not finished) and use it to change the subscription stat

Hi everyone,I’ve noticed when I click into a cell in the Data & Analysis, Data table, that you can’t click out. The selected cell keeps being highlighted and clicking elsewhere on the page does nothing. The only way to unselect that cell is to move to a different tab (e.g. Results) or to refresh page.It would be good to make it easier to click out of an individual response cell, to avoid accidental deletion or addition of a column when user multiple clicks.Thank you.Mohsen 

Hi All, I’ve been able to use workflows through the GUI to auto export Qualtrics results to an Excel file quite easily. However, I am only able to do this when the Excel is hosted on a my work Office 365 account OneDrive for Business instance. I cannot do this with an Excel workbook hosted on a SharePoint site that I own through my work instance of Office 365. Both are on the same tenant of O365. I did some reading of past posts and it seems this is a known limitation. Has anyone used API keys to accomplish auto exports from Qualtrics to an Excel hosted in SharePoint? If so, can you point me to some documentation. There are institutional reasons why we are looking specifically at this solution. Thanks.

I have stand alone workflows set up with custom cron expressions that are not working as anticipated and as appearing to be programmed correctly - per Qualtrics support “The entire statement can't be treated as an AND statement. This means that it was checking for if the day was 15th-21st or if the day was a Thursday. They confirmed that, it looks like there isn't a way to set up a Cron expression that specifically sends on the first, second, or third Thursday of a month.” This is very frustrating and there is nothing on the Qualtrics side stating this is not possible and there was an error in the expression. This will be very time consuming as every 2nd and 4th Thursday I am sending out email i

I have a survey with scoring where questions will be weighted differently for their final score. Typically I can weight and do calculations/custom metrics within a dashboard - except for this project I must have the weight calculations completed and have it hit the data & analysis within the survey as I export the data to be used in a 3rd party reporting/dashboard platform.

I’m using the following JavaScript to have a dynamic Text Entry box when “other” is selected. If the user selects, “other” but doesn’t type anything in the text entry box, the box disappears when the user hits the “next” button. I created a category for N/A and na comments, but it also categorized comments that merely contain the keywords N/A or na. Do you know if there is any approach or trick to generate only N/A comments?Thank you for your help!
