Greetings!To avoid order effects, my team and I need to randomize conditions, groups, and blocks in several ways. Unfortunately, this complexity of Qualtrics programming falls outside of my current repertoire and what I have been able to find on YouTube and by poking around on this community site. I’m crossing my fingers and toes the Qualtrics community “hive mind” can save the day.We are doing a mixed design, with an overall within-subjects design (two conditions: A, B) that each have three components (1, 2, 3) with a between-subjects aspect in component 3. Hi there dear community :)Is there a way I can use the Mobile App SDK and still get an Embedded App Feedbakc, allowing a directly pop up of a survey, without the creative first? I want to be able to prompt directly the question (CES one) and avoid the pop-up.  I know we can always use a link of a survey and put in string all the embedded data, but I rather still use intercepts so I can enjoy the capabilities of sampling etc.

I have a massive survey with over 60 matrix questions that all have the same scale points, these questions are all contained within their own block. (I have not yet done this but each question will have display logic on it so that each participant only sees one of the matrix questions, not all 60+). I need to add a piece of embedded data in the survey flow where it places a negative value in the embedded field if “Poor” is selected. I know that I can do this by creating a whole bunch of OR statements, one for each question, but am wondering if there is a way to do this for the entire block since the entire block only contains matrix questions which all have this same scale point. 

Why do some response fields switch from text to numeric values after survey updates?

Hi please add a function for disabling Qualtrics' auto suggested answer choices. Most of the surveys we plan have preplanned question and answer choices. We don’t need Qualtrics to suggest the answer choices. This feature is counter productive as we have to delete the new answer choices everytime.

I created a survey with an anonymous link. The survey link was sent to our communications department. THEY distributed the survey link in various ways (we did not use Qualtrics distribution).1) Emailed anonymous survey link to a customer list 2) Put the anonymous link on our website 3) Distributed the QR code for the link at a function etc. Is there way to tell how many people answered the survey in each of the 3 ways above?

I have a matrix question with numerous statements but all are within a group as shown below. Can I set display logic based at the group level or do I have to set it for each individual answer option?Perhaps it is better to have a separate question for each group (where display logic can be set at the question level) vs. one large question...?  

I have a client that would like to use their own URL for the survey.  They will be printing the invite on receipts and also sending an email invite from their platform with information through the query string.  Those details would include things like date of visit, location they visited, etc.  The URL would be something like www.brandlistens.com.  What I’ve read through vanity URLs is that you would still have to enter www.brandlistens.com/jfe/form/SV_….Since we will be asking people to type this URL into their browser, we do not want to make them type in all of the extra after brandlistens.com.  We do not want to redirect them to another page either, we want the address bar to continue to show

Is there a way to have the container on, but have it be more subtle - like a way to adjust the opacity of the question container itself? Here it is on and off, I am looking for something in between where the question is still easy to read/focus on, but I would like to be able to see the background, maybe just have it be more dithered/muted where the question container is rather than completely blocked out  

I have ~300k responses to my survey today that are tied to a location ID.  The location ID is collected in two different fields, one from the query string in an email invite.  The other from a text box field on the first page of the survey.I have to switch my data values for the location ID to now have leading zero’s up to 4 digits.  So location 6 would now need to be 0006, or 24 would need to be 0024.  All of my data collected starting next year will be collected with the leading zeros.  I want to make sure my historical data and my new data all match, so I need to add leading zeros to the old data.I can’t just export, add leading zeros and then import because that will create all new records and not update the existing records.  I don’t want to delete the old records and then reupload because that will count against my total interactions.I’m trying to not add additional embedded data fields, mostly because it’s fairly messy with a lot of embedded data already,

Hi,In my email footer, I have a part “© 2025 CompanyX” I would like to be able to replace 2025 with a piped text for the current year.However, all of the date/time piped text options seem to always include day+month+year.Is there any piped text existing that is only returning the current year?  These emails are sent out with regular distributions to a mailing list, so I can’t add any Code task somewhere. 

Does Qualtrics reassign recode values when new options are added?

I know how to prevent the session expired message, however I have a customer who really wants to complete a survey but cannot because it is marked as finished in the directory. Since this customer has not completed any other surveys, can I delete them from the directory and all lists then add them back in and send a survey? Has any one had any success with this or have any other ideas?

I’m probably asking for the impossible but you are also so creative, maybe you know how to make this happen.Essentially, I want to create the table below as a question. A constant sum with two columns--preferably with columns AND rows summed if possible.  

Is there a difference in how Qualtrics stores responses before and after a question is edited?

Does Qualtrics support connecting to the Tango sandbox platform (https://tango-portal.sandbox.tangocard.com) for testing Tango integrations with Qualtrics workflows? If so, are there any tricks to setting this up?

Hi All, I have a survey which uses a csv file to populate embedded values used in a series of drilldown questions. The survey responses are extracted via a python script with “useLabels : True” set in the download request. Recently the survey was updated to add a new response option. Since that change, the API extract populates several columns with both answer text (STR) and recode values (INT). So I get text values and numerical values--which likely correspond to the csv file which populates the answer option. Is there a reason why our other surveys using the same structure (but have not changed) continue to export text labels without any problem, while the recently changed survey has mixed data types in some columns?Many thanks for your thoughts.

Is there a way to use an inline slider question type and ensure that the selected answer choice is pre-populated?

I’m trying to understand when exactly to use an Embedded Data field. Can someone explain with a simple example?

Does display logic make surveys slower or is it fine to add multiple conditions?

I’ve always used a custom “From” address for my distributions, but recently I can’t send any unless I use the predefined Qualtrics address (noreply@qemailserver.com).If I try with my custom address, I get an error and the distribution won’t launch.Has anyone else experienced this? Could it be a system bug? It’s been happening for several weeks now.Thanks in advance!

Hello,I am trying to set a time limit of 30 minutes to complete my survey. In the survey options, 30 minutes is not an option for How much time should pass before they’re considered incomplete? I would essentially like for the survey to time out 30 minutes after starting the survey.A solution or any guidance for this would be much appreciated! Hi everyone,I have a client who wants to “blacklist” certain email addresses and plans to send us a CSV of these emails on a regular basis. As far as I know, Qualtrics doesn’t offer an actual blacklisting feature.This sounds opting these contacts in advance out of the Directory, but I’m not sure what the best approach is.Has anyone implemented a workaround for this?Any guidance would be appreciated. Thanks!
