my contact list from the directory has disappeared and has 80 thousand contacts. How do I retrieve it? I suspect someone deleted it by mistake

Hi All, is there any we can apply limits on survey distribution for a contact? Eg. Person A should not get the invite email more than 3 times if he is not taking that survey.

Hello, I am having a hard time getting my Qualtrics Automation to recognize my Dropbox folder path. It keeps saying  to find the folder. It keeps saying ensure the folder exists and has not been deleted. I have tried different iterations of the folder path and can get nothing to work!

If I were to create an XM Directory for a newsletter per se, would there be a way to make the validation check not only that it matches an email address format but also that the email address doesn’t exist in the newsletter? The idea being that I could prevent duplicate contacts from happening.

hi there!I need to send a scoring report to respondents, but I do not want to ask for their emails (this is a risk matrix they’ll need to complete multiple times, so it would be bothersome to keep inputting emails). I have created a Contact List with teh email’s respondents.Is there any way I can send the Email Trigger to a respondent whose email is in the Contact List?I tried with piped text: Email, but it did not work. Would it work if I distribute the survey to the Contact List? Is there any other way I can do this? Simpler form builders automatically collect respondent’s emails…Thanks!Alessia 

Hello, First time posting, so please excuse any lack of formatting or etiquette I might demonstrate.  I am endeavoring to set-up screening conditions for several workflows using the XM Directory Funnel Event trigger to ensure only flags from certain survey distributions are acted on. Documentation seems to suggest that survey id is not a viable condition, unless it is added to a field in the Directory Funnel. I wanted to see if there are any experiences that support this, or if I am misinterpreting the documentation. This effort has been more complicated than the product release and documentation lead us to believe, so any insight would be greatly appreciated. 

Hello There!I have multiple contacts to merge into a specific list, it must be by an email flied condition. Although in my directory the deduplicity rule is by external reference, I am looking for any comment that indicates if it is possible to execute a merge inside a list with a different condition than the one configured in the directory as identity resolution. Attached pictore for reference.  Thank you so much in advance 😊

Hello, everyone! I am working on connecting an SFTP to a Contact Import Automation, and we have experienced issues with it. One thing we have noticed in Qualtrics documentation is that there is a touch access permission in the SFTP that may need to be toggled on. I haven’t been able to find out how to turn this permission on for Azure, and every other SFTP I have connected to Qualtrics has not had errors. I understand that there may be a different issue with the connection; however, I wanted to check and see if anyone is aware of this permission and if it had been a reason why the connection wasn’t successful between the SFTP and Qualtrics. Does anyone have any experience migrating directory contacts from XMD Lite to XMD full? We have a long list of unsubscribed contacts saved as a contact list in XMD Lite. I’m wondering if all those unsubscribed contacts will be automatically opted out in the XMD full once the migration is complete?

Hi everyone! I’m currently planning on launching an in-house research panel to which our current clients will be invited. I tried to find out more information about how to automate sign ups to the panel but all proposed solutions seem way more convoluted than I would have expected. In my previous role, I used another software for panel management where we were able to send out a “sign up” survey filling out which would have automatically added you to the panel with all the key datapoints (demographics, for example). So my question is  - is there something similar in Qualtrics? Or what other easy automations could I implement to avoid manually uploading participants to the panel each time we send out invitations to the panel? Potential participants would receive either an email inviting them to the panel, or a web intercept with the same proposition. Thank you in advance for the responses!

I am trying to use WhatsApp to Automatically distribute surveys upon an upload of a list through automations. We have an SFTP and are passing contact through and when they get in, the only way to send these messages out is through Email or SMS. But, we are wanting it to go through WhatsApp instead. Has anybody found a work around for this? Or should I submit and product request?

Or will I need to add a clause to exclude contacts from that first sample?  Asking because I have a list of about 30,000 contacts and I want to stagger distribution up to a maximum of 2,000 contacts without adding an exclusion clause to each sample. TIA

Hi,the idea here is that while we sent an survey invite via email, we can setup a scheduled reminder when the distribution is setup. Afterwards, I would like to have a mechanism to trigger a second reminder to that invite at my own discretion and programmatically. I will be creating some sort of a trigger (e.g.. button) which can trigger an API request to Qualtrics, but I am not envisioning how I an do it as a continuity of the existing invite/reminder process. I have taken into account that perhaps either the invite or reminder have been activated and the survey completed, in which case we would not be triggering the manual reminder.any ideas?Thanks

Is it possible to send an email to multiple email addresses for a single contact and not generate multiple responses for the contact? I have a list of contacts that have multiple email addresses (a school email and a preferred email). I need to send a link to a single survey to both addresses. I do not need them to complete the survey twice.

Hi everyone, I'm implementing Qualtrics right now and am having a hard time figuring out how I'm going to get segments and distribution working exactly how I want it to. We want to have a drip of NPS surveys go out daily to a subset of our eligible recipients. With our previous provider, we could do a relative date and we had it set up along the lines of:IF the user's creation date was exactly 6, 12, 18, 24, etc... months ago, THEN send them a surveyThis made it so we had a relatively even distribution of surveys. I can't figure out how to do something along these lines in Qualtrics, though. I created a test embedded data field with a date as the value, but it looks like my segment filters don't have the ability to be relative to those dates.Does anyone have any creative suggestions to get a drip like this working? Once we send out the first surveys to these people we can use Qualtrics's rules to re-survey them afterwards, but as we transition to Qualtrics we want to maintain that stea

When setting up our Qualtrics survey we did not select Evenly present elements, for our 8 conditions. As a result we have now have very unequal cell sizes, from 4 participants in 1 condition to 27 in another. We want to try and make the cell sizes even so that there is the same participants in each condition, can we do this through running more participants and selecting different counts in the edit count function? If we can do this, do we put the element count as the total we need or the amount needed to make the cells equal? Any advice gratefully received. TIATrina

If not, where would you advise I start looking into doing this?Also, does anyone have advice on determining which customers (if any) should be deleted from the directory? I'd like to create a Segment for users where a transaction occurred over X days/weeks/months ago. For example, users who signed up over 30 days ago.I can't find any condition that would work other than using an absolute date (which is not an option).

To help prevent future email bounces our organization maintains a "bad email" list within our email marketing tool. Is it possible to upload this list and set a rule to not email these addresses...a suppression list?

Hi all! Total newbie here. I inherited the account from my predecessor which has hundreds of email lists, which easily causes errant distributions. Is there any reason NOT to delete all the previous email lists?

Has anyone tracked incentives in Qualtrics? I need to track how much in incentives panelist have received in a calendar year as to not exceed our internal limit. Incentives are paid through an API with Virtual Incentives using a workflow, and the incentive amount is collected within each survey's embedded data. Ideally, an automation could be created that would make it so once the limit is reached (summing embedded incentives field within the calendar year), panelists are not included in future distributions. Any ideas or vetted solutions would be wonderful! Thank you!

Is it an update to Directories or is it because we were migrated to XM Directory Lite? Everything has changed - and I totally must have missed the memo/announcement. It's no longer called Contacts on my menu - no big deal.What is a big deal is I can't easily manually load embedded data to a contact. Tricks you say? Yes - you can select all contacts and then click on embedded data and then click on the field you want to update. Then find the contact (hopefully he was on that page of contacts), input your data and then start over again for the next field. IF you select all contacts (not just what's on the visible page) you can't edit the fields. I've also had problems with distributions and loading contact lists (the latest problem which the eng team fixed was on import only a portion of the contacts would be uploaded). Is anyone else experiencing issues?

I have a stand-alone workflow that send welcoming emails to new employees based in a segment logic.I would like to know if it possible to create a report or a type of dashboard of how many emails are being send, how many bounced and how many were open.Is this possible?

We have a survey that gets distributed monthly to a random sample size from a contact population triggered from Salesforce.Our current general setup:Salesforce scripting to segment and select a random group of contacts based on parameters.Those contacts are packaged together and pushed over into a salesforce workflow rule to add/update contact info in XM Directory then distribute the survey.Responses are then mapped backed to salesforce via contact ID via workflow to a survey response object.We are updating a number of things in our CRM and curious if we can re-design the randomization function, potentially to be done from Qualtrics.Theoretical setup:Salesforce workflow rule monthly to add/update XM Directory to ensure contacts are current and up to date.Randomized distribution triggers from the directory based on parameters using embedded data.I'm hoping to do this to maybe have more flexibility in terms of the frequency and sample size instead of having to rely on DEV work to adjust

Hi all, I'm setting up an Auto Email Distribution that got linked with an Auto Contact Importer, but the Run Summary Email is too simple.I have to go to Automation History and Distribution Tab in the Survey to find out that some of the Email is Bounce and Fail due to typing errors. One way to work around is to schedule a daily filtered Distribution Funnel Dashboard through Email but it's only weekly and I don't think that is what it was made for.So I think the Summary Email should include more detailed information on the process and maybe even the csv/tsv detail file as an attachment so that we can acknowledge immediately if any problem occurs
