Hi! Has anyone been able to use the Retrieve Survey Response Web Service task together with the Code task? I am trying to redirect users to a URL (stored in the embedded data value targetURL) upon survey completion. The URL includes several parameters, including a parameter called timestamp. I cannot rename this parameter or change its order in the URL. We want to target page within SPA, and we have identified the trigger, but intercept conditions are not evaluated in the page transitions. Is there any possibility to trigger the evaluation only? You quick response and assistance will be appreciated. Thanks!!

Hello, I am working with a side by side question where the first column is a series of radio buttons from 0 to 5, and the second column is a comments column for survey takers to expand on their response. I am trying to find a way to force users to input a comment into the comment column if their response in the first column is either 1 or 2. If a forced requirement isn’t possible, I’d like to have the corresponding row be highlighted when a user selects 1 or 2 as a way to remind them to fill out the comment. I want to design a survey that I can use to administer a spelling test. I’ll upload an audio file for each question, and then after participants listen to it, they type the word they heard in a text entry question.The problem is that many participants likely have text prediction/spell check as an automatic feature of their computer, or may have installed programs such as Grammarly. Is there any way to change settings for a question that would prevent text prediction from being used? I’d prefer not to rely on asking respondents to turn off text prediction themselves.

I have a side-by-side table and one of the columns is a drop down list.  If ‘Other’ is selected in the list then I would like the text box in the next column to show.  I have multiple rows so would need to work on a per-row basis.  Is this possible? I’ve attached an example

Hello, any suggestions on how to design a multiple choice question like this: Please select ONE of the options below:Option 1 - When selected, this option expands to 3 more sub-choices, plus an “Other” sub-choice that allows text entry, BUT, participants can only select one of the four optionsOption 2 - When selected, this option does NOT expand. Participants just select Option 2 and move on.Option 3 - Same layout as Option 1Option 4 - Same layout as Option 2 Illustrated:Option 1 (expand if selected) Sub-choice A Sub-choice B Sub-choice C Other (text entry): Option 2 Option 3 (expand if selected) Sub-choice D Sub-choice E Sub-choice F Other (text entry): Option 4In summary, responders can select only ONE option to answer the question. Hello!I am trying to widen my survey content so that there isn’t as much white space on either side of my question. Currently, the survey content is centered in the middle but when I try to widen the question by widening the columns within Qualtrics, I am given a side scroll bar to navigate to the end of the question rather than the survey widening to display the question across the page. Here’s a screenshot below of how it looks:   I am trying to use CSS or JS to accomplish this, and I have been trying to locate the survey div in the html inspection. Hi, I wrote javascript code to get csv file from library, then using the data to generate CDF. It works perfectly when I preview the survey, but when I tried taking the survey using anonymous link, it doesn’t work anymore. Any idea of what the problem could be? Thank you!

I'm using radio buttons of yes/no answer. the answer is time limited, I want to change the logic, that after clicking one of the radio buttons the screen changed to next question , and not after clicking the next button. Hi all, I've seen a few posts about creating a tool tip when using a mobile device but I'm still having difficulty. I want to create a tool tip for answer choices - where a hint pops up when you hover over/click on a word in the answer choices. A tooltip for the desktop version was easy - it’s a simple case of adding the short code <span style ="font-size:11px; "><span title= "pop up hint" >in-text word</span></span> in the gap where you put one of the possible answers. (Annoyingly, I wanted you see the code there but it creates the tooltip instead -sorry!). However, I am really struggling to get the mobile version working. Hello!I am working with a Qualtrics survey and have created comment boxes using JavaScript for survey users to input additional data. We are capturing the data using embedded data fields and want to be able to use the data and analysis options in Qualtrics to view and export responses.I have a question in a matrix table in the Likert type that is storing and saving comments properly. This question has comment boxes for each row of the matrix table, and has comments storing into embedded data fields named comments|QID|# where the # is the row in the matrix table.For other questions, I have just one comment box below the question where comments should be stored as comments|QID# , but the comments aren’t storing properly. Can anyone help me figure out why one code is working and the other is not? I have an embedded data field pulling timestamp from the invite file in this format (2023-06-23 23:12:00) and I want to pipe it into a question just the date: Did you use internet on MM/DD/YYYY? I think I need javascript to convert the format and/or remove the time but all the examples I’ve found are solving way more complicated versions of this question -- any suggestions here?

I previously had coded a conjoint experiment in JS within Qualtrics that worked rather successfully. Qualtrics took down its Web Service random number generator however, and the conjoint no longer works as a result.I've attempted to use the embedded data and piped text random number generator that Qualtrics offers as an alternative, but it does not seem to be working with each randomization of the conjoint simply offering the exact same outcomes. I’d like to trigger a push to salesforce when I send a survey invite to a customer. I’d like to push the date the survey was sent and the unique link. I looked at the survey workflow options but they seem to be all triggered on an activity like a response received. Is there a way to trigger an API call to Salesforce from the directory when the latest email field is updated?

Hey everyone!In our study, one task requires participants to fill in several responses in designated text boxes. The task uses the form question type with 30 text boxes that can, but do not have to be, filled in. We used JavaScript to portray the text boxes one by one, so that the next field is only shown to someone as soon as they start typing in the first one. Hi,  I have a MCQ and I need to only accept the first answer to the question. However, I also need the participant to stay on the same page. Is this possible? e.g. disable the question after selection? Any help/advice would be great,  Thanks, 

I want to reverse the order of options/answers for mobile for a matrix table question which is in carousel format. Hi! Is there any way in Qualtrics to enforce a file naming convention? I will receive ~75-100 file uploads every so often that I would like to connect to Box and have named in a specific way to reduce the administrative burden. I was hoping there was a way to require a specific naming convention to help with compliance. Not sure if this feature is available. Any insight would be appreciated!

I’m trying to embed a Webex meeting widget into a survey.The code for loading the widget is comprised of a 5MB, minified, obfuscated JavaScript file, with some base-64 thrown in.If I simply paste the whole thing into my question’s JavaScript entry field, the validator won’t accept it. The general guidance I’ve seen online recommends inserting a script tag into the DOM, but if I do that it doesn’t execute. Perhaps this is a result of a safety feature built into Qualtrics?I’m beginning to suspect it can’t be done.Has anyone here done anything similar? Does anyone have any ideas?Thanks in advance!

Hi EveryoneI have a Feedback Button site intercept running on my site and all is working as expected.This one…I am getting complaints that respondents are struggling to close the slider survey after submission, or after a curious click on the Feedback button before submission. They are not so aware you just need to press the Feedback button again.I enabled this…But am not happy with how it looks and believe I have no design control over this. Ideally I want to invert the X. Is this possible? Or is it possible to add a new ‘NEXT’ button that closes the survey like the X would do, or pressing Feedback would do?Like this… Hope you can help.Thanks :)
